Experience: This is their 5th practicum experience. Previous practicum = MUED 297 (Sophomore Practicum) and MUED 397a (General Music Practicum) and MUED 397b/d (Instrumental or Choral Methods Practicum) and MUED 497 (1 credit) (Emphasis Block Practicum) Format: Individual placement of students who teach all day/every day for 16 weeks. Purpose: The purpose of this practicum is to provide student teaching experience in their area of emphasis and is viewed as a professional semester. Students are on the school calendar, not UNL's University Supervision: Students are observed a minimum of six times by a university supervisor. We use a unique combination of two Japanese and one Korean martial art, resulting in a system which teaches you both "hard" and "soft" attacks and defenses. There are many reasons why you should check out Jasukai. The instructors are very personable and helpful. One of them, Jason Moore , is totally blind. He is able to see using Ki , which is something you will learn about at Jasukai. The other, Larry Bethers , has a background in martial arts and the military, giving him experiences he uses to train people both in martial arts and in survival skills. Jasukai openly encourages students to investigate other martial arts systems. We understand fully that what we offer will not fit everyone's needs and will not be what everybody wants. We do not seek students just for the seeking but rather seek those who are honestly interested in developing themselves to the fullest extent possible.
