Amerikanske TV-kanaler har talt og bestemt seg. Resultatet er at Andreas Viestad kan nå 200 millioner amerikanske TV-seere når matserien New Scandinavian Cooking går på lufta i USA i mai. Aldri tidligere har en norsk produsert TV-serie hatt tilgang på et like stort publikum. Serien er produsert av Nett-TV AS, et produksjonsselskap som holder til i Oslo. Den består av 13 halvtimes programmer som er en blanding av mat-, reise- og opplevelses-TV med Norge som arena. Serien skal vises på public television nettverket i USA. Nettverket omtales ofte som det amerikanske NRK. Andreas Viestad er kjent fra sin matspalte i Magasinet (Dagbladet) og fra diverse prisbelønte matbøker. I TV-serien New Scandinavian Cooking reiser han fra Svalbard i nord til Gamle Hellesund i sør, og med seg har han sitt mobile kjøkken. Underveis lager han moderne norsk mat, basert på tradisjonelle norske råvarer. Alt foregår på engelsk – og utendørs i spektakulære norske omgivelser. - Det er fantastisk å kunne nå et så stort publikum i USA. Jeg hadde aldri ventet en slik respons, sier Andreas Viestad.
