Staff Undergraduate Courses The following should be noted regarding business science undergraduate courses: The courses offered by the School of Economic and Business Sciences are part of a Bachelor of Commerce. If you study with us, therefore, you will be doing a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Sciences. This is a three year degree, with the option to progress to postgraduate studies. It is the highest rated business degree in South Africa (see general information). The Business Sciences courses that you take in your BCom can only be taken from the second year onwards. In first year you do a mix of preparatory subjects, normally including Economics I, Business Statistics, Computational Mathematics, Accountancy and one other course (often Information Systems I or Commercial Law I).
