Today 'dyslexia' is an umbrella buzz word of the many faces of learning difficulties. It's a blessing to have some of the characteristics of 'dyslexia'. It could be a nightmare when one doesn't understand it, or properly treat it. Some of the traits of dyslexics are; seeing, thinking, and perceiving 'multi-dimensionally'. Dyslexics tend to find it difficult to understand language in a traditional method of learning. Bridging the two worlds together and harnessing the hidden talents of dyslexics is the challenge.

Master Sinfonia Chamber Orchestra This second afternoon concert by the fine, local ensemble featured violinist JosephGold in the only nonGallic offering, the Violin Concerto (1982) by Filip http://www.mastersinfonia.org/files/reviews.htm
Extractions: With the final, rollicking and irreverent strains of Ibert's Divertissement (1930) resounding through the Los Altos United Methodist Church, Sunday, February 2, 2003, conductor David Ramadanoff concluded a thoroughly ingratiating, predominantly French program with the Master Sinfonia Chamber Orchestra. This second afternoon concert by the fine, local ensemble featured violinist Joseph Gold in the only non-Gallic offering, the Violin Concerto (1982) by Filip Pavlov, as well as orchestral selections by Ravel and Poulenc, whose G Minor Organ Concerto enjoyed the splendid playing of Larry Crummer. Maurice Ravel's bittersweet Le Tombeau de Couperin (1919) opened Ramadanoff's program. The Master Sinfonia applied a shimmering patina to this delicate score, whose oboe soli and occasionally pentatonic writing have some of the wistfulness of the composer's
Extractions: STOLEN Luigi Alberto Bianchi had his companion of 11 years, his remarkable Stradivari Colossus violin, stolen in Rome, Italy on November 3, 1998 . This unique violin is known as "Colossus" because of its slightly bigger than normal size. It was made by Antonio Stradivari in Cremona, Italy in 1716. It previously belonged to Giovanni Battista Viotti, Baillot, and to Jacques Thibaud who sold it in 1920. It was bought in 1987 in London at Christie's. Along with the "Colossus" were also stolen two rare bows made by Dominique Peccatte (Mirecourt 1810-1874): If you have any information regarding these unique violin or bows please contact: Magg.
