Extractions: Georgiadis Peebles Duo Page Discography Born in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, he began playing the violin at the age of six under the guidance of his father, an amateur violinist, and later went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music, London. One year in Paris completed the fifteen years of studies with altogether four teachers; Vanna Brown , Joan Rochford-Davies, Frederick Grinke and Rene Benedetti. Whilst with Frederick Grinke he won the Queens Prize, the Gulbenkian Award, and was awarded the Dove Prize, and was elected a FRAM in 1972, and a FGSM in 1976. He was Leader (Concertmaster) of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra from 1963 to 1965, and the London Symphony Orchestra from 1965 to 1973, and 1976 to 1979. 1972 saw the formation of the London Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra of which he is a founder member and Music Director.

Extractions: Contact: EMAIL .........taught from an early age by his father who in turn had studied with Brodsky. On winning a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music he became established as a pupil of Frederick Grinke. During these student years he won many prizes, including a London Arts Competition, which later became known as the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition, and which gave him an opportunity to perform in all the major concert halls in and around London. On leaving the Royal Academy he joined the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and subsequently became a member of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra where he was given the position of Co-Leader. As a freelance performer he has had the opportunity to guest lead all the major London orchestras in addition to being Director, Soloist and Leader of the Wren Orchestra of London, a post which he held for 12 years. A much sought after leader and violinist, he has taken part in most major films recorded in London, including the "James Bond" movies and more recently led the orchestra for the film "Evita". He can be heard daily on television having led orchestras for a variety of programmes such as "Hetty Wainthrop", "Wycliff" and "Sherlock Holmes". He has led the orchestras for many of the best known West End Shows, including "Aspects of Love" by Andrew Lloyd Webber, "Carousel" by Rogers and Hammerstein and "Phantom of the Opera".
