After studying in Switzerland with the violinists Nicolas Chumachenco, Corrado Romano and Ulrich Lehmann she obtained her diplom denseignement and the concert diploma. Silvia has been awarded scholarships from the Dienemann-Stiftung (Lucerne) and the municipality Evilard (Fond Suri). She has attended masterclasses with V. Pikaisen, W. Wilkomirska and in 1995 she was invited to the European Mozart Academy in Krakau (Polen). At the Swiss Youth Competition and the International Youth Competition of Stresa (Italy) she gained different awards.
