Extractions: The South Central Tuba Quartet met as students at the University of Southern California where they studied with legendary studio recording artists Tommy Johnson and Jim Self. The tuba ensemble includes a euphonium, two F tubas and one CC tuba. Each of the fine musicians performing in the quartet has received a scholarship for continued studies. They perform a variety of music stretching from transcriptions of Renaissance and Baroque music to jazz and contemporary works written especially for four tubas.
