TOEFL Now - 2011 Edition is a culmination of three years of my experience writing and grading TOEFL iBT exams. I have learned a lot about the TOEFL iBT over the last three years, specifically how the test is designed, and what key things you need to do in order to achieve an excellent score on the exam. I have also seen many, many students repeat the same mistakes over and over again, and I want to help you prepare for the TOEFL so that you can avoid making these mistakes yourself.

If you have just started studying for the TOEFL iBT the process might seem a bit overwhelming. There is a lot to do, and many of the tasks, like speaking about a random topic for one full minute without any preparation, can seem frightening. Luckily, everyone else who is preparing for the TOEFL is in the same situation you are, and the fact that you are reading this means you are already working hard to prepare for the exam. Good job!

Having seen many of the same mistakes repeated time and time again I have developed this guide to teach students specifically how to prepare for each of the four sections of the TOEFL iBT (Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking).

Some of the key things I will teach you are:

- How to structure your Writing and Speaking responses to include everything the exam graders are looking for.

- How to identify and answer all 10 types of Reading questions.

- The difference between responses that receive a 3 and ones that will receive a 4 or a 5, and how you can easily improve your responses just by adding a few key words and phrases.

Remember, the TOEFL iBT is hard. As far as exams go this might be the most difficult one you have ever taken. That's OK, it just means that you will have to put in a bit of hard work to get a good score.

Great Review Tool!
This book helped me very much prepare for the TOEFL exam. I bought it to understand more the exam, and the strategies they teach are really good.I especially liked the strategy sections about the Reading and Speaking. Those really helped me get a good score. My reading score was 25 and my speaking 24.I got a 94 on the exam! I never thought that I could score this high!

Really helped me!
I bought this book 2 weeks before I took the TOEFL iBT. I had studied before then, but this book really helped me figure out how to organize my writing and speaking section. After each section there is a list of free websites on the internet that have good practice materials. The author has really good strategies on how to study for each section, and how to answer the questions on test day. Good book
It's a good book, its great for the listening and reading part. I also used the Princeton review. I would recommend getting both. I strongly recommend this one for listening specially and reading also.

Good Practice
This book was demanded for a TOEFL practice class. It has a lot of tips and deals with each of the four TOEFL topics in detail.

Each TOEFL section is introduced in the book and starts out with more easy exercises and practical tips. Tasks are getting more difficult the more one digs into one section. Besides the right solutions for the reading and listening sections, this book also provides sample writing and speaking responses from students that have taken the TOEFL.

To conclude, this book is structured well and provides excellent hints and tips for the TOEFL. It deals also with the grading factors of the actual TOEFL test. However, this book was published in 2005, which makes it hard to tell in how far this book is still up to date in terms of the TOEFL test. If it was not for the purpose of a course I would probably have choosen a newer guide.

This book is the WORST book ever in my life for TOEFL.

The simplest of words , nothing more complex than intricate
This is the most useless book I have read in a long time. I routinely answer only about 50% of the readers digest vocabulary questions correctly and yet, in this book I didn't find a single unknown word.

The best book if your English level is intermediate high or advanced
English is my 2nd language but I had studied math and science from elementary to high school in English and my college study for medicine was in English .I searched for TOEFL books and I was lucky to choose this one (the book +the CDs) although few reviews were there. But I can assure you that this is the best book if your level in English is not a beginner.I borrowed others books for TOEFL from a friend (Princeton,Longman) and they were very simple to the extend I felt silly studying from them.

The CDs are very very good ,the practice tests in the book it self are great and adds up to your language.
I definitely recommend this CDs +the book for those with advanced level in English language.

most reliable book
It is the most reliable, most complete and most helpful book for TOEFL exam. The delivery is fast, even sooner than what I expected, the only negative comment is how they packed the books, it arrived with a folded cover page, the packager is not careful enough....i am giving the book and the delivery 4 stars! for the seller andpackaging 3 stars!

Very Good for speaking and Writing in Toefl iBT.
Getting a good score in Toefl iBT is all about practice. These 10 CDs have a lot of exercisesto get you better. I was weak in speaking and writing. I had to get a minimum score of 26 in speaking and 24 in writing. The first time i attended a 2 week training classes and used a number of books and i only got 89. Then i bought this book and CDs and all i used was this one. I got a score of 108. Though it is expensive, I would certainly recommand this book and CDs.

As I did not hear these CD's, but were sent to an English Major in eastern Europe, I will go by her outstanding ratings.They are a perfect match for the Delta's workbook; the CD's were specifically asked for because of the high rating.
