Not enough
Studied this guide throughly for two weeks, along with practice exams from Peterson's and barely passed (51). My test was not as easy as some people have mentioned. Thought I knew the material in this book pretty good, but a lot of the questions on the test were not covered in this book. This book is okay, but you might want to find a second source.

Highly Recommend!
I studied this book intensely for about 2 weeks and passed the test with no problem. Of course, like anything else, you'll get out of it what you put into it.

Great resource
I heartily recommend this book. I passed the exam with flying colors, even though I had no previous management knowledge.

REA does it again!
This is the 4th REA book I've used to pass a CLEP exam.I had little knowledge of Management but I passes this CLEP with a 68 (50 is passing).I read the book, took notes, and practiced the exams for about 1 month (20-25 hours of studying total).As always the example tests in this REA book were not exactly like those on the CLEP exam - these examples are much more specific than the questions I experienced on the actual test, so the guide was more that sufficient.

Good value and resource.
Bought this study guide and used it for four weeks to pass the CLEP Business.Worked like a charm, I passed it with flying colors using only this book!

I Passed- Need I say more?
Using this book (I also purchased another different math study book [general, not CLEP specific] from a brick and mortar store, but it was so lousy, I did a few problems and then recycled it), I was able to study and pass my CLEP test.

One LARGE thing of note, however, is that the tests change often, and the books often do not. So the book I studied (the one here) had useful information on things on my test. BUT, it also covered topics seen nowhere on my test. Additionally, there were entire topics on the test, that were nowhere to be found with the book.

This problem is more with the CLEP test as opposed to the book. The book was clear, consise and DEFINITELY assisted me with my math studies and passing the CLEP examination.

Despite the nuances of the book and test not covering the same thing, I still got a 73 (50 is passing).

It's a great study guide but you may need more
This book teaches a lot of concepts very well, but you may need some more learning (as I did) to fully cover yourself for the CLEP test. I took an online course to supplement.

great!!
i used this book and it guided me through the steps i needed. i also used a decrepit "general clep study guide" book, whew....it's from '85 or something. but both covered everything given on the outline. i scored a 570!!!! definitely recommend!! oh, and know probability, it's everywhere on the test. and although listed on the outline, there were no binary numbers.

No place for errors in a math tutorial!
While I appreciate the comprehensive coverage of the materials, I find that errors in examples, answers and explanations have no place in a book that purports to prepare one for a college level examination.I have yet to finish reading the book and have found several examples of poor editing, or typographical errors.The coverage, while certainly not in depth, should be adequate to prepare you to pass the examination, if you are already familiar with the material.

Good review book
I purchased this book to review high school mathematics after being out of high school for over 10 years.It was a wonderful way to refresh my memory.Since I have no intention of taking the CLEP exam, I cannot vouch for its effectiveness for CLEP preparation but I can honestly say that ifyou are unsure of your level of mathematics aptitude or require a quickreview this book is excellent. However, if you are looking for in depthexplanations and need to be taught these concepts for the first time, it isnot suited to this purpose.It is an excellent skeletal review book. ... Read more

Not what I expected
The large number of practice tests are good, but the majority of the book is useless for helping to pass the test. More than half was advice about CLEP tests in general, and stuff like careers in chemistry. Who cares. The book will be useful to practice on only after I learn chemistry from another book. ... One ugly book. One very effective CLEP study guide.
When I first received this book I was dismayed and almost returned it immediately. The type was done in Courier. The binding consisted of punched holes loosely bound with the stitches that showed between a plain, stiff black hardcover. Just the basics. This is one ugly book. (I suspect it was hand published just for me because I had to wait many weeks to get it and paid a premium price. Lucky me.) A quick glance through reveled page after page of sample questions with some filler text in the back, most of it in outline form. The filler text did not seem to support the test questions. Then I hit on the secret. I took each 25 question section. All the questions I got wrong or wasn't sure about I wrote down in a notebook along with the correct answer. Then I read each of these statements into a tape recorder and studied them as if they were Trivial Pursuit questions, listening to the tape whenever I was driving. Meanwhile, I checked out a "real" business management textbook from the local library and looked up any special items that the sample questions pointed to but didn't give me enough information. Results: 7 hours study time and I got a nice high score on the test. Many, many of the sample test questions revealed themselves in some form in the real test. Will I by another Jack Rudman special? Very thin on information
Book is poorly printed and contains very little actual study information.Lots of pages on how to take a test and some sample tests, then a few pages of accounting info that look to be printed on an old typewriter.Very difficult to read.Not worth the money at all.

Great for what it is intended for!
I haven't had an accounting course in 10 years, this book provides questions and problems as would be on the CLEP exam. It is a great application study guide but you will need a college text book.I used my old text book from 10 years ago to assist with my preparation.This book won't teach you accounting but it does help prepare you for the test.

Great test taking tool!
This book contains numerous practice tests.Each test contains 25 multiple choice questions, with answers provided at the end.This is a great tool to use for taking practice tests.It does not contain much in the areas of theories, principles, etc. (thats what accounting text books are for).If you are looking for the types of sample questions that will appear on ACT tests or CLEP tests, then you've found what you are looking for.

Introductory Microeconomics (College Level Examination Series (Clep 40)
I was disappointed with this one. There is no study material to go along with practice tests.

A complete waste of money!!!
I purchased this book on the recommendation of the person who gave this book 5 stars.However, upon receipt of this book and subsequent examination, I discovered that the only thing this book provides is a series of multiple-choice questions and answers...several hundred of them.This book does not provide ANY explanation of the material.I honestly believe that it would actually be less time consuming to take this class than it would be to try to memorize all of the information contained in this book.Needless to say, I returned this book for a refund.If it was possible to give this book a negative rating...I would have done so.This book deserves much worse than a 1 star rating.
