I cant believe i finally got this book.This book teaches you everything on welding.this book goes from beginner welders all the way up to advanced.im telling you its well worth the money you wont be disapointed.I have learned so many things from this book.

The book is good for starters.It is a bit vague on the basics but informative.A good starter book.

Above average instructional manual.
I found this book to have strong basic/beginner information as advertised. Some foggy areas are clearer to me now. The section on welding projects could have been left out and additional instructional materials provided. ... Read more

Why is the year and revision not on the front cover?
I bought the hardcover and this workbook that goes along with it (or so I tohught).It turns out the workbook and the hardcover books have been released, modified, and re-released over the years.I have a 2004 hardcover and a 2000 workbook.The workbook has questions that aren't covered in the hardcover.

I am annoyed because I now have to hunt down a 2004 workbook to match my 2004 hardcover.I have to hand in these tests from the workbook for class.What makes it hard to track down (over the internet) is the cover doesn't tell you which book you are ordering.Neither does any description I can find.

This would never have been a problem if these books followed a standard (like other books) of making it obvious on the cover which revision of the book you are buying.
