RSV Catholic Bible
I bought this version for a class I am taking.It is large print, which, when having to do a lot of reading, is easier on the eyes.Great quality bookmanship as well.

Catholic Bible Resived Standard Version
This large print Catholic Bible has already brought hours of reading.Every morning I am compelled to spend at least thrity minutes enjoying reading it.It is referrenced well and I strongly recommend it for anyone seeking the divine words of our Lord.This bible is a veritable treat.

Like RSV translation, but production could be better

Pros:
RVS better than the NAB or the later NRSV (my opinion only)
Generously large print
Footnotes are presented at the end of each testament, making reading easier.

Cons:
Binding is glued, not sewn (a real minus in my opinion)
Paper is very thin; lots of bleed through (must elevate page to read)
Big and heavy
Does not have the complete apocrypha

THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS caught my eye when I was looking to purchase my first catholic bible.
Large print is awesome.
Yes the bible heavy but worth taking it to work.
I purchased a 2nd one for my brother whom seems to read it whenever he is home.
I plan to get more for my other two brothers and sister.

RSV Cathoilc Bible
A wonder of a bible. I love the larger print as I am hard in seeing. And the names of many in the old testament people are made so you can actually say them. The hard copy is what i got. And i love it . My only trouble , but not really a trouble was i wish the prayer section was bigger.That way i could have had my prayers and bible together in one place. But other than that a A+ Bible. I love that they have keep the wording as should be. ANd no great changes have been made. It a clean and easy way to read the bible. No complete Z-Transform table
While this edition is up-to-date with the current information, certain things, like the complete Z-Transform table were taken out, leaving with in place, a basic Z-transform table with only 10 transformations. The previous editions of CRC's Standard Mathematical Tables had complete Z-Transform tables. If you need a complete Z-Transform table, I would recommend looking into the older editions, such as the 27th edition, instead.

Fantastic reference book.Wish it had more external references.
This is a very comprehensive coverage of a broad array of mathametical standards.

Sometimes a mathmetical concept or premise is best understood if you have multible references.This book serves to provide information to those who already have some underlying knowledge to the topic they are referencing in the book - a highly successful implemtation of the primary stated purpose of the book.

The only improvement to this book would be the inclusion ofreferences by the author to primers or underlying concepts that better represent the purpose and utility of the materials presented.Such as a "See Also..." or "For more information on this see..." under each major topic section.That way the author doesn't need to waste time and effort for topics which are not in the intended purpose of the book.

Self improvement and lifelong learners use these books too.
