It is home to hundreds of racewalkers who can be seen in neighborhoods and in local running and walking races. Racewalking has only two technical rules: Contact with the ground must be maintained at all times this differentiates racewalking from running.

Competitors must contact the Athletics Victoria office, obtain and fill in the requisite entry form and return it with due payment before the closing date.
