Extractions: Limited Entry Disc Golf (72 Players) DDC (18Teams) GENERAL INFORMATION (as of 2/5/03)- The highest disc golf course in the World at the top of Aspen Mountain. At an elevation of almost two miles high; this will be the most demanding disc golf course that you will ever play. From Denver you take I-70 West to Glenwood Springs (About 2 1/2 hours), then go South on Highway 82 into downtown Aspen. It¹s best to park in the Rio Grande parking garage and walk to the gondola. You will ride the Silver Queen Gondola approximately 15 minutes to the top of Aspen Mountain. The lift will take you from a base elevation of nearly 8,000 feet to an elevation of 11,212 feet. From there you will tee off and play a very spectacular round of golf. This will be the 8th annual event held at this Disc Golf Course. Make your camping and hotel reservations early. Check with Snowmass area accomodations as well as Aspen. Often they are less expensive and mostly they are more available. Extractions: Cock ON! Anyway... welcome to my frisbee page. This is my favourite frisbee game at the moment. It is best played with a (160g) "Freestyle" frisbee. (The different types of frisbee will be described later.) It is essentially a tricks game. The idea is to pass the frisbee around between your friends while trying to pull off insane catches and throws. The way I play it there is no competitive nature to the game, it's just for fun. At present my most insane throw is the Theast Bentener . (This is my name for the throw, it may have a proper name but I can't be bothered to find it out.) To do the Theast Bentener you must jump quite high and raise your legs, almost to the horizontal. In this position you then flick the frisbee under both legs. If you manage to land correcly, without breaking anything and get a decent throw in the right direction you've just tamed the Theast Bentener. To master it you've just got to get the timing.
