Two hundred years of history prepared the way for Russias efflorescence, which began before World War I. From the education of youths abroad by edict of Peter the Great, the founding of universities, the Academy of Sciences, gymnasiums and lyceums, to the formation of domestic schools in the sciences and engineering, to the birth of great poets and prose writers, composers, artists and performers. All social classes participated in the creation of the countrys nervous system: the nobility, merchants, educated "commoners" and peasants. The concepts "intellectual framework" and "societys nervous system" are perhaps not identical to the term "intelligentsia." Military intellectuals military leaders, defense experts, naval officers, railroad engineers; government workers civil servants in various agencies, bankers, engineers, agronomists, youths working in the archives; collectors of folk songs, those serving the "pure sciences" and the educated merchants, and those in the arts, and of course, teachers, doctors and just educated people all are vital to the survival of a powerful, independent state.

Bari was considered to be the principal leader of mathematics at Moscow State University. She helped many students earn their Ph.D. and improve their theses. She did everything she could to give to others the spirit of her work. Besides mathematics, Bari had other interests too. She used to hike and be a tourist and she really liked poetry and music.
