Writing Physics I don't believe that for a minute. If evgenii lifshitz really wrote theamazing papers of Landau, he was doing physics of the highest order. http://www.lassp.cornell.edu/~cew2/KnightLecture.html
Extractions: When he invited me to deliver a lecture in this series, Jonathan Monroe provided a long list of questions that might be addressed. Many of them were autobiographical. Physics offers you so few public opportunities to talk about yourself, that I found this impossible to resist. So I'll begin with his opening question: What first drew you to your discipline? What first drew me to my discipline was magic. It came in two varieties: relativity and quantum mechanics. I know that the magic of relativity had grabbed me before I was 16, because I remember the first day of high-school physics. The teacher was a tight lipped gentleman who, it was rumored, had risen to the rank of Colonel in World War I. He liked to throw hard rubber erasers at people he thought were dozing. "Physics,'' the Colonel told us, "is about laws that govern the behavior of matter. There is the law of the Conservation of Mass.'' My hand shot up. "Doesn't relativity say that mass is not conserved?'' There was a long terrifying silence. "I don't know anything about relativity,'' snarled the Colonel at last. "Do you?'' I never again inquired about anything not in the textbook:

Extractions: CHAPTER 3 THE EXPANDING UNIVERSE In this way, Edwin Hubble worked out the distances to nine different galaxies. We now know that our galaxy is only one of some hundred thousand million that can be seen using modern telescopes, each galaxy itself containing some hundred thousand million stars. Figure 3:1 shows a picture of one spiral galaxy that is similar to what we think ours must look like to someone living in another galaxy. Figure 3:1 We live in a galaxy that is about one hundred thousand light-years across and is slowly rotating; the stars in its spiral arms orbit around its center about once every several hundred million years. Our sun is just an ordinary, average-sized, yellow star, near the inner edge of one of the spiral arms. We have certainly come a long way since Aristotle and Ptolemy, when thought that the earth was the center of the universe! ln the years following his proof of the existence of other galaxies, Rubble spent his time cataloging their distances and observing their spectra. At that time most people expected the galaxies to be moving around quite randomly, and so expected to find as many blue-shifted spectra as red-shifted ones. It was quite a surprise, therefore, to find that most galaxies appeared red-shifted: nearly all were moving away from us! More surprising still was the finding that Hubble published in 19 even the size of a galaxys red shift is not random, but is directly proportional to the galaxys distance from us. Or, in other words, the farther a galaxy is, the faster it is moving away! And that meant that the universe could not be static, as everyone previously had thought, is in fact expanding; the distance between the different galaxies is changin

SHOW ME PROOF For unknown reasons, Heeren did not discuss certain alternative theories whichfound some adherents, for example, the theory of evgenii lifshitz and Isaak http://www.nctimes.net/~mark/bibl_science/heeren.htm
Extractions: SHOW ME PROOF Posted on February 20, 2000 CONTENTS INTRODUCTION The text of Fred Heerens book Show Me God What a Message from Space Is Telling Us About God Show Me God. The implications of that combination of title and picture are obvious: The greatest scientist of the 20 th Heeren is actually a preacher disguised as a skeptic in search of truth. He tries to tell the readers that scientific data not only point to God as the creator of the universe (which view cannot be either proved or disproved scientifically) but that these data lead directly to the belief in Jesus being God. Hence, Heeren is not just a believer suggesting arguments in favor of Gods existence, but rather a propagandist for his specific religious beliefs, and in that he is on a shaky ground, as he provides no substantiation for his propagandistic effort, thus devaluating his book into a piece of religious ranting feebly disguised as an objective exploration of his thesis. HEEREN PROVES GOD BY SHEER LOGIC. OR DOES HE?
