Extractions: Below is a listing of those who have been interred in the Mount Auburn Cemetery near Rimbey from 1903 to 1982, in order of interment year. It should be noted that the source of the information below indicated that no burials took place in 1959 while a large number took place in 1958. This may be an error in the source, but until this can be verified, the names and dates appear as they do in the local history book, " Over the Years: A History of the Rimbey Area ". While all attempts to ensure accuracy have been made, it is possible that errors may still exist.

DELTA's Early History from the period, particularly Daniel Grim's Ph.D. dissertation and the masters'theses of Eric Nystrom, Henry B. Rick burchnall and joseph Mattioni. http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~mader/delta/alanappendix.html
Extractions: Back to the History of Project Delta This document was originally an appendix to the "unofficial history" of DELTA that I wrote in the summer of 1980. As I was writing down my own memories, I realized that I knew very little of what had happened before I became involved in the project. So I did a bit of research, in which I obtained some records of Delta's earliest days from Teresa Green (then at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania) and from the DSAA. This paper, written in August 1980, is based largely on that documentary record. Because of that, it underplays the role of Mrs. Green, the founder, who was Delta to many people involved in those days, but who played down her personal role in her reports to DSAA. The establishment of the Delta Web site and list server in 1998 prompted an outpouring of memories from many of DELTA's earliest veterans. It is my intention to draw on this material to supplement the history of DELTA in a future work. In addition, Mrs. Green is writing a memoir of her involvement with the project, which will stand by itself as a valuable part of the historical record. Read it and remember.

Extractions: Location map Forthcoming events ... Links It is not unknown for people to miss sending birthday greetings on time, and we missed the centenary of the founding of the Wymeswold Parish Council as established by the Local Government Act of 1894. Oh dear! My excuse is that the Minutes of these early meetings took rather a long time to be made available by the Records Office Perhaps this short account of those early meetings will act as my belated congratulations on your behalf. The Parish Council as established in 1894 replaced the Vestry, which had been set up in Tudor times to handle civil and ecclesiastical affairs in the parish, taking over the responsibilities for the poor and the roads from the manorial courts, and appointing Overseers for these. The Vicar, Churchwardens and Overseers were the main members of the Vestry. Presumably it was felt that the system of parish administration needed modernisation after the three hundred years or so since the founding of the Vestry especially bearing in mind the growth of population in the nineteenth century, and ideas of modern democracy. The first Minutes of the Wymeswold Parish Council were those of a "Parish Meeting" in the Infant Schoolroom on 14 December 1894 which was convened by Mr Walter Holwell and Mr Samuel Lamb who were Parish Overseers. About one hundred "Parish Electors" attended. The purpose was to choose six Parish Councillors for the new council. The Vicar, Rev R.C. Green, was chosen to chair the meeting, and he called for nominations. The following were proposed and seconded :-
