.. Pavel Porcl . no. 3 by B. Martinù with a visibly exemplary, unbridled virtuosity, admirably supported by the pianist michal rezek. This sonata http://www.sporcl.cz/english/critics.php
Extractions: CRITICS I. German Newspapers on Concerts in Germany April 2002 (Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Leo Svárovský) Main-Echo, 11 April 2002 Pavel porcl, soloist of the Concerto for violin and orchestra No. 1, by Max Bruch, is not entirely unknown in Frankfurt, not to mention his outstanding image. Concerning his playing the violin, it is less important whether the scarf he wears on his head is a trademark, an advertising article or simply a need. porcl is an excellent world-class violinist. It is right at the beginning of the first movement of the Bruch violin concerto, where it is necessary to develop expressive musical patterns, that sound is a difficult issue. The coordination with the excellent orchestra was another impressive detail. porcl was thus able to express his supreme virtuosity in Introduction and Rondo capriccioso op. 28 by Camille Saint-Saens

December 1997 Theodore Kullak Alexander Dreyschock The Romantic Piano Concerto Vol. 21 ROBERT RUSSELL BENNETT - Abraham Lincoln, SIghts and Sounds ERICH WOLFGANG KORNGOLD (1897-1957): A Midsummer Night's Dream. Max Reinhardt's 1934 film provided Korngold with his first Hollywood work - in this case expanding and adapting Mendelssohn's original music into what proved to be 116 minutes of score. Exhibiting not only his characteristically brilliant knack for orchestration but also his remarkable knowledge and obvious love of Mendelssohn's music, Korngold adapted music from various of the symphonies, Songs without Words, chamber works and lieder to produce a homogeneous symphonic whole. Sixty minutes of the score are presented here along with detailed notes and a "listening guide" by Korngold scholar Brendan G. Carroll. Texts included. Celina Lindsley (soprano), Michelle Breedt (mezzo), Scot Weir (tenor), Michael Burt (bass), Berlin Radio Choir, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin; Gerd Albrecht. CPO 999 449 (Germany) ELIE SIEGMEISTER (1909-1991): Piano Music Vol. 1 - American Sonata, On this Ground, Theme and Variations No. 2, Piano Sonata No. 4 (Prelude, Blues and Toccata), Piano Sonata No. 5.
