Zijn opname Live At Carnegie Hall werd wereldwijd op lovende kritieken onthaald. DGG CD 459.614-2 Nu heeft hij zich verdiept in de klaviermuziek van Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. In de tijd van C.P.E. Bach was de piano nog niet zo geperfectioneerd als vandaag. Carl Philipp kende het instrument wel, maar heeft er eigenlijk nooit echt op gespeeld. Vandaar dat men zich zou kunnen afvragen of het eigenlijk wel verantwoord is zijn muziek op de piano te vertolken. Het antwoord is heel eenvoudig: ja, want ze is niet geschreven voor een welbepaald instrument. Ze is tamelijk abstract opgevat, los van het instrument dat haar tot klinken moet brengen.

Seine Klaviertranskriptionen der als Suiten bearbeiteten Ballettmusiken zu »Der Nussknacker« und »Dornröschen« stellen höchste Ansprüche an die Interpreten. Er hat eine Klassischen Sinfonie, ein Triptychon für Sinfonieorchester, Quintette, Fantasien, ein Capriccio für Klavier und Orchester und ein Konzert für Bratsche und Orchester geschrieben.
