Highly Recommend
This commentary is extremely well-rounded and inclusive. I would agree with the other comment that it is brief and therefore sometimes difficult to help with sermon material, but it is loaded. Their intent is not to suck a passage dry with explanation and cross-referencing, but rather thoroughly, but at the same time briefly, explain the main line of thinking as well as more popular alternative interpretations. They do not go into any kind of lengthly defense of their views which is what keeps it brief. After giving a good hardy and studious summary anyone could take it and go deeper in lexicons, bible dictionaries, etc. This commentary is certainly superior to any of the commentaries you find online and should not be put in the same category. The reason I like this commentary is because it is a one-stop shop for brief yet solid explanation as well as alternate views of which to be aware.
One other thing I like about the commentary is there is a very thorough, and in this case length, review of the book by way of introduction.They cover all the bases on who,what, when, how, and why a book was written, popular alternative views and issues of textual criticism.I have learned more about certain books of the bible from the introduction then I have learned my whole life. Highly recommended series.

The first edition is better
While the format of the revised commentary series is far superior to that of the original Ex. Bible Comm. series the material within the new editions has tended to be less helpful in preparing sermons. However, the views expressed within have been interesting to read. I suppose my main point is that I have other commentaries whose purpose is to argue grammatical concerns, that is not the main purpose of the EBC series.

This text has always been plainly written. Difficult concepts are presented in a form that allows for understaning. I have read this text in its 4th edition, the author has signicantly improved the content is this the 5th ed. Student feedback should be positive!!!

This is the best guide to the rstaurant business you will find!
This book is great for the industry professionals that are somewhat educated and able to understand restaurant business concepts. I had been searching for a guide book from someone that actually understands the pitfall and requirements associated with opening a restaurant. This book is a guiding light packed with practical advice and its step by step approach is a welcomed change form a person actually interested in the restaurant business. If you are thinking of being in the restaurant business this is a step by step guide to success. Don't sart a restaurant with out reading this book.

The epitome of all that's wrong with textbooks!
This text book is so poorly written it be considered ridiculous if it wasn't destroying ones attempts to educate themselves. I had to purchase this book for my current college class. I have found while attempting to read it that the authors writing ability wouldn't pass a fifth-grade exam. There is zero sentence structure every thing is written in clauses and run-on's that the reader can only hope to find the sections that matter. When my end of course review for this class is due I will be officially requesting the school stop using this pathetic attempt at a text book and asking they find one that is written to instruct instead of written by an author who seems only interested in making himself feel smart by explaining simple things in ways convoluted as possible with out being forced into the Fictional category.

The illustrations are the work of Skira Color Studios in Lausanne; every one of the 130 color plates is tipped in (printed separately from the book on glossy stock and then glued in on one edge.) They are beautiful, containing an extraordinary amount of color and texture.

Volume 1, by Prown, takes us up to the Armory Show. Volume 2, by Rose covers the 20th century (up to time of publication.) Indexed with 9 pp bibliographic information.
