An excellent introduction to peacekeeping
This book includes sections discussion various peacekeeping missions by United Nation's forces, a short history and discussions of the various forces which have been involved. The book includes some excellent photographs as well as color plates of various national uniforms which have been adapted for the UN role. I notice very little criticism of various peacekeeping efforts but since this is not meant to be a critique of UN missions it is not that glaring a fault.

As a bonus, the book is an excellent reference for UN missions prior to 1994, the countries involved and where they took effect. ... Read more
