Rovnez jako prvni objevil carova rentgenova spektra serie M, pomoci nichz se urcuje protonove cislo atomu. Jako zakladatel rentgenove spektrometrie, umoznil dosahnout nebyvale presnosti pri mereni delky, a to az do radu nanometru. Byla to prave rentgenova spektrometrie, za kterou byla Siegbahnovi udelena Nobelova cena. zpet
