Valley Fever Information
I was recently diagnosed with Valley Fever and I was amazed at how many doctors and the medical system in whole don't know about this disease.

The book was very informative and answered alot of questions for me.It gave me the change to catch up on a range of topics, treatments and side effects for Valley Fever.

You should know about this
Valley Fever, a deadly disease which can be caught easily, is almost unknown to people living in the endemic area, the Southwest! As a result, diagnosis is inconsistent, and medical care is worse. As a survivor, I was thrilled to learn of this book. My doctors, although well meaning, gave me little information about the disease, perhaps because they know little about it themselves. I am a firm believer in patient's advocating for themselves and this book is a tool to help one do so. However, I don't think people ought to wait until they have VF to buy the book.I believe everyone in the Southwest should know about it and be prepared to ask their medical advisors to test for it should they have unusual symptoms which do not clear up with conventional therapy. It can effect both humans and pets, and the results can be devastating. Delays in diagnosis and treatment can cause problems which last a life time. For you and your family's sake, buy and read this book.

Valley Fever Epidemic
This Valley Fever infection has the potential to do great harm in communities all across the Southwestern part of the U.S.My Sister (Tucson) had debilitating lung problems.She was misdiagnosed which added to the delay in treatment.Her lung tissue is now permanently scarred and marginally functional.This fine book covers all aspects of the disease and is well worth reading.

Elizabeth makes these Earrings from Acorns and they are Jack-o-Lanterns,and they are a hit with Sweet Valley Middle School.Jessica says they are hers and makes up a story saying something about a Squirrel being hit by a car. The Unicorns are having a King and Queen of Halloween and Jessica wants to win.They have votes for most something.It cost money.

One of the best Sweet Valley Twins books!
This book is really good.It's about two twins, Elizabeth and Jessica.Elizabeth makes these Halloween earings.Jessica tells her twin they are dorky.Elizabeth threw out the earings.

Wow!
I really liked this book and I think that it has a moral lesson.

You see, Elizabeth makes these totally beautiful, cool and funky earrings. Of course, even though she's not really cruel, Jessica criticizes the earrings and hurts Elizabeth's feelings. So Elizabeth throws them away, which was totally WRONG.

Then Jessica suddenly has an idea and uses the earrings as "her" art project because she couldn't think of anything that could be a suitable project. Everybody at school oohs and aahs, so Jessica pretends they're her IDEA. There are a lot of twists and turns.. Let me just say that it's really great and that it reminds me of "The Telltale Heart". Yuck Yuck Yeehaww
I've never been to kansas, but I live in Texas, and its annoying how some people think everyone rides horses and wears cowboy hats and voted for president Bush. Not so people! So I'm assuming the the re-dunkulous stuff they do in this mind numbing book is pretty far feteched too. Now Im a huge fan of the fluff SVH stories, but I found this one tormenting. Skip onto one of the other Super Eds., cus this book is Special Ed.

A Fun Adventure for the Wakefields!
I enjoyed this.Alot.Walkersville sounded like a nice place- for a visit.Anyways, this book was great. Very fun, funny how Aunt Shirley and Uncle Herman thought Jessica was sick because she went to bed early (so she could sneak out to meet a guy- of course!) and slept in late (because she was out late!)It was also funny how All the girls were copying Jessica's style even though they were mean to her.READ THIS BOOK!

Great book worth reading
I absolutely could not put Enduring Miracles down the first day I started reading it and read until 1:30 in the morning. It's always amazing to see what people can endure and yet somehow come out on top!Afton Zapata is a fabulous writer.I was probably most impressed with her ability to give the play by play of how everything happened (which must have come from some awesome journal entries) before and after the diagnosis of Valley Fever.I was also very impressed with Afton's honesty in telling the story, no matter how painful sometimes it probably must have been.Wow!I couldn't have done that.She really told it all, which helped me see the big picture of what was going on in their life.This book isn't just for people dealing with Valley Fever, but it's for people dealing with any of life's challenges.It's a book of hope and unconditional love.I highly recommend it!

Shocking
This account of a family dealing with a harrowing disease that struck the father is riveting.I couldn't put it down.It's written with an honest sort of raw retelling of the events, experiences, and feelings of Afton Zapata, the author, who is the mother.She brings to life, for the reader, the people involved in the story, to the point that the reader is emotionally invested in the story for good and bad.It is heart wrenching, but hopeful in the realization that no matter what hardships life hands you, you have the choice to maintain an inner peace and faith that will sustain you.It is all at once painful, yet uplifting to share what appears to be an account of a cathartic nature with this family.Any reader that is human can find something to relate to themselves in this heart piercing story.I highly recommend it.One comes away with a deeper appreciation for the gift of life, health, and family.

Finally, A Medical Glossary Anyone Can Understand!
Even being in the medical field myself it is hard to understand what doctors are really saying at times.I really feel sorry for the lay people in this situation, as they are probably so confused they don't even know what to ask.

I highly recommend The Official Valley Fever Survivor Medical Glossary to everyone.You don't have to have Valley Fever to benefit from this book.The beginning of the book explains what valley fever is about and the endemic areas.It also has a section called Dawn to Dusk, which explains what weather conditions may increase or decrease the chances of contracting this deadly disease.

The large glossary comes next and it is very easy to understand and compliments the first book written called Valley Fever Epidemic.Many of the words in this glossary could be related to several health issues as well. For example, the word prognosis relates to the outcome of a medical problem so it can be used with any diagnosis.As I mentioned above, you don't have to have Valley Fever to benefit from this book.

At the end of the glossary is some very good reference information about where you can find organizations and internet information related to valley fever.You can also find information about a vaccine being worked on in Texas and research on a new medication being worked on in Arizona.If you've not read Valley Fever Epidemic this book is a must have.It has awesome reviews written by several prominent Valley Fever medical professionals.

If you don't need to breathe then no worries. :)However, if you do need to breathe I highly suggest you read both these books, The Official Valley Fever Survivor Medical Glossary and Valley Fever Epidemic.This disease is something to worry about.You just don't know it yet.Why wait? Lila and Jesssica? Bff's again?
Jessica and Bethel Mcoy are doing a project toggether in History class for a time capsule project and need a video camera, they dont know anyone who has one so they ask Lila. Lila agrees but says since it's her video camera she gets to be in the Movie- this get's Bethel Mad and Lila ends up breaking the relationship between Bethel and Jessica. Aat the same time she is dissing her friends atthe new school! Will Lila make up wiith them? or will they not want to be friends ever agin? read this book to find out!!

Dance Fever is REALLY AWESOME
Dance Fever is a really, really good book! I thought it was really funny and the ending was really romantic! But I won't tell you what happened, you'll have to read it yourself. But I DID think that what Elizabeth did for Ronald was so awesome!! But what Ronald did to her was heart-breaking! Oh well read the book it was soooooooo good!!

Great book , Great series
This series is totaly to die for! Elizabeth and Jessica are to Califoinian teenagers who just want to have fun, well at least jessica does... Elizabeth and Jessica are two different people Jessica is a really outgoing kind of person who will get what ever she wants. Elizabeth is more of a quiet person who just goes along with what people are saying. In the begining of the series Jessica and Elizabeth get rezoned (moved) to a different school, they get transfered to sweet Valley Jr. High from Sweet Valley Middle School. Well then Elizabeth meets Salvador and they instantly have a "thing" for each other. While this is going on Elizabeth is having a really easy time making friends and jessica isn't.Then comes Blue later in the series who kind of messes things up..... in my opinion this is the best series of all of the SV books..... from SVJH to SHH to SHSY to SVMS SVU and sweet valley Kids i've read them all more than once! Happy Readings!

One of the Best!
This was definitely one of the best SVJH books. In this one, Elizabeth really, really wants to go with Blue. But one day, Jessica asks Elizabeth to get her homework from her locker. Elizabeth goes to Jessica's locker, and finds Jessica's dorky locker partner there! When he asks Elizabeth to the dance, she is so nice, she can't bear to say no. Meanwhile, Blue is contemplating whether he should ask Elizabeth to the dance, and if so, when. Finally, Blue calls Elizabeth, but she concludes that she must tell the truth, and she tells Blue about her date. Blue is terribly sad, but then Elizabeth and Blue make up a plan that will fix everything...

Great read!
I read all of the Jr. High books and I think they are great! This one especially!! I was mad when Liz accepted Ronalds invitation because I wanted her to go with Blue, but it all makes sense in the end!!! ... Read more

Vivid illustration of Silicon Valley
This book could be dubbed as the ethnography of Silicon Valley in the eye of anthropologist. This book seems outdated at first glance. It¡¯s two-decades-old, published in 1984. I adored this second book about Skiff the Shetland sheepdog. Once again Skiff is telling his story which is a delight to my youngest grandson. Skiff and his owners are now living in Phoenix, Arizona. Skiff is having a lot of fun in his new home. He loves to dig,run in the sun and play in the rain.

One morning Skiff woke up and did not feel well. He had never been sick but knew that something was wrong.

His owners took him to a vet and that is when they found out Skiff has Valley Fever.
This little book is educational as you get to see real X-rays, listen as a veterinarian explains all about what Valley Fever is and how long it can last. You will find a glossary of words at the end of the book. That will help little minds to understand words they may not know.
