Het was een grapje van Leon Ramakers van Mojo Concerts...; hij was voor mij de man die de Rolling Stones naar Nederland haalde, en Michael Jackson, Prince en Madonna. Nu riep hij dat ik het Feyenoord Stadion moest huren voor een concert... ik lag er de hele nacht wakker van. Rare man dacht ik, de volgende ochtend. De Kuip, daar had nog nooit een Nederlandse act gestaan! Wat ik niet wist was dat mijn manager John van Katwijk nog iets langer had doorgepraat met Leon Ramakers en daadwerkelijk De Kuip had afgehuurd voor 24 juni 1995 (met een optie voor 25 juni!) Toen lag ik maanden wakker... De rest van het verhaal is historie; de eerste Nederlandse artiest die het Feyenoord Stadion tweemaal wist uit verkopen. Het is haast niet te geloven en om eerlijk te zijn ...ik geloof het zelf eigenlijk ook nog steeds niet! 1998 - Home Again... na een turbulente periode...

Henri Cartan ... the last year, after the 'victory', was a year of opening, bringing with it the impression of once more living life to the full. Of this rebirth I can recall a sensation of freedom that I found hard to control. In 1946 Thom moved to Strasbourg so that he could continue to work with Henri Cartan . There he was influenced by others including Ehresmann and Koszul. His doctorate, supervised by Henri Cartan , was awarded in 1951 for a thesis entitled Fibre spaces in spheres and Steenrod squares.
