"About the time of the end, a body of men will be raised up who will turn their attention to the Prophecies, and insist upon their literal interpretation, in the midst of much clamor and opposition."
    Sir Issac Newton 1642-1727
Sir Isaac Newton was likely one of the greatest scientist who ever lived. He made fundamental contributions to every major area of scientific and mathematical concern in his generation. He made revolutionary advances in mathematics, optics, physics, and astronomy. He actually invented the mathematic discipline known as calculus.
In addition to his unequaled mental capability, Newton was also an ardent Bible scholar who was very fluent in the ancient languages. He studied and translated the book of Daniel from the original Hebrew and his interpretations are the foundation of a book entitled, NEWTON'S PROPHECIES OF DANIEL, by the Oregon Institute Of Science and Medicine.
Regarding his perception of how God was working in the lives of men in revealing truths from the Word of God, Newton wrote: "Amongst the Interpreters of the last age

By Dr. Robert A. Hatch - University of Florida
N ewton, Sir Isaac (1642-1727) English natural philosopher, generally regarded as the most original and influential theorist in the history of science. In addition to his invention of the infinitesimal calculus and a new theory of light and color, Newton transformed the structure of physical science with his three laws of motion and the law of universal gravitation. As the keystone of the scientific revolution of the 17th century, Newton's work combined the contributions of Copernicus, Kepler, Galileo, Descartes, and others into a new and powerful synthesis. Three centuries later the resulting structure - classical mechanics - continues to be a useful but no less elegant monument to his genius. W ith his mother's return to Woolsthorpe in 1653, Newton was taken from school to fulfill his birthright as a farmer. Happily, he failed in this calling, and returned to King's School at Granthan to prepare for entrance to Trinity College, Cambridge. Numerous anecdotes survive from this period about Newton's absent-mindedness as a fledging farmer and his lackluster performance as a student. But the turning point in Newton's life came in June 1661 when he left Woolsthorpe for Cambridge University. Here Newton entered a new world, one he could eventually call his own. A and other forms of mathematics far in advance of Euclid's Elements . Barrow, himself a gifted mathematician, had yet to appreciate Newton's genius.

The male then emits, at short intervals, in front of the female, several conical or bell-shaped’ spermatophores (a gelatinous secretion from the cloaca), adhering to the ground and crowned by a spherical mass of spermatozoa, which the female afterwards gathers in the lips of her cloaca either by mere application or by holding the spermatophore between her hind legs and pressing the, mass of spermatozoa into the cloaca, whence they ultimately find their way into the lower part of the ovidu.cts, where the eggs are fecundated as they descend.

    Sir Issac Newton
By Stanley L. Johnson, Jr Sir Isaac Newton, the culminating figure of the scientific revolution of the 17th century, was born on January 4, 1643 Woolsthrope, near Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. Many considered him to be the greatest scientific genius of all time. He made significant contributions to every major area of scientific and mathematical concern of his generation. He was raised by his grandmother. In 1661, at the age of 18, Newton enrolled in Trinity College, Cambridge. Despite the fact that the curriculum at Cambridge was still dominated by the philosophies of Aristotle, Newton began looking into areas that were, to his psyche, questionable. He became more familiar and with philosophies of Descartes, Gassendi, Boyle, Copernicus, and Galileo. Furthermore, due to the Plague, Newton didn't receive much clout until after he left Trinity College and moved back to Lincolnshire. Within 18 months he began revolutionary advances in mathematics, optics, physics, and astronomy. In Mathematics, Newton was instrumental in creating what we now know as Calculus. Even though Leibniz was given the credit for it, Newton had laid the foundation for elementary differential and anti-derivative (integral) calculus. Newton realized that the integration of a function, or it's area, is merely the inverse procedure to differentiating, or taking its derivative and finding the slope of the curve at any point on the line. Using differentiation as his platform, Newton began to produce simple analytical methods that became instrumental in finding areas, tangents, lengths and widths of curves, and their maximums and minimums points. At the age of 27, Newton became the Chairperson of the Mathematics Department at Trinity College.

Newton, Sir Isaac 1642-1727, English mathematician and natural philosopher (physicist); considered by many the greatest scientist of all Time . He was Lucasian professor of mathematics (1669-1701) at Cambridge Univ. Between 1664 and 1666 he discovered the law of universal Gravitation , began to develop the Calculus, and discovered that white Light is composed of every Color in the Spectrum . In his monumental Philosophiae naturalis principia mathematica [Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy] (1687), he showed how his principle of universal gravitation explained both the Motion s of heavenly bodies and the falling of bodies on earth. The Principia covers Dynamics (including Newton's three laws of motion), Fluid Mechanics, the motions of the planets and their satellites (see Communications Satellite Satellite - Artificial ) , the motions of the comets, and the phenomena of Tide s. Newton's theory that Light is composed of particles-elaborated in his Opticks (1704)-dominated optics until the 19th century, when it was replaced by the Wave theory of light; the two theories were combined in the modern

People Buried or Commemorated - Sir Isaac Newton 1642-1727 Newton was born at Woolsthorpe in the parish of Colsterworth, Lincolnshire and educated in Grantham and at Trinity College Cambridge. He became a Fellow of Trinity in 1667 and was Lucasian Professor from 1669 to 1702. Elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1672, Newton served as its President from 1705 to 1727. He became Master of the Mint in 1699 and was knighted in April 1705. Newton is most commonly known for his conception of the law of universal gravitation, but his other discoveries and inventions in mathematics (e.g. the binomial theorem, differential and integral calculus), optics, mechanics, and astronomy place him at the very forefront of all scientists. His study and understanding of light, the invention of the reflecting telescope (1668), and his revelation in his Principia of the mathematical ordering of the universe are all represented on his monument in Westminster Abbey. Newton died at Kensington on 20 March 1727 and was buried in the Abbey on 28 March. Before the funeral his body lay in state in the Jerusalem Chamber and his coffin was followed to its grave by most of the Fellows of the Royal Society. The Lord Chancellor, two dukes and three earls were pall bearers.

    Newton, Isaac (1642-1727)

English physicist and mathematician who was born into a poor farming family. Luckily for humanity, Newton was not a good farmer, and was sent to Cambridge to study to become a preacher. At Cambridge, Newton studied mathematics, being especially strongly influenced by Euclid , although he was also influenced by Baconian and Cartesian philosophies. Newton was forced to leave Cambridge when it was closed because of the plague, and it was during this period that he made some of his most significant discoveries. With the reticence he was to show later in life, Newton did not, however, publish his results. Newton suffered a mental breakdown in 1675 and was still recovering through 1679. In response to a letter from Hooke , he suggested that a particle, if released, would spiral in to the center of the Earth Hooke wrote back, claiming that the path would not be a spiral, but an ellipse Newton, who hated being bested, then proceeded to work out the mathematics of orbits. Again, he did not publish his calculations. Newton then began devoting his efforts to theological speculation and put the calculations on elliptical motion aside, telling Halley he had lost them (Westfall 1993, p. 403).
