Welcome What's New General Information Organization ... Schedule of Section
Day by Day Overview
Aug. 20 Aug. 21 Aug. 22 Aug. 23 ... Aug. 28 Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday
At the recommendation of the Program Committee, appointed by the International Mathematical Union (IMU), the Organizing Committee has invited 20 mathematicians to give one-hour Plenary Lectures. The names of the speakers together with their affiliations, and the titles of the Plenary Lectures are listed below. The Plenary Lectures will inform participants of major developments, problems, and trends in mathematics. The IMU General Assembly, the Program Committee, and the Organizing Committee have emphasized that these lectures should be comprehensible to a wide spectrum of mathematicians. All plenary speakers have agreed to prepare addresses for a general mathematical audience.
