I have the 5cd set of Savall's Marais Pieces de Viol. I am looking for recordings/books suggestions on this topic...including the music of Forequay, St Colombe, and Couperin. Canada has several universities that have had very fine harpsichord teachers, including Laval U (francophone) in Quebec city, McGill and Concordia universities in Montreal, Quebec. Douglas Bodle may still teach at the U of Toronto, and is a fine musician. In the US schools like Indiana U Bloomingtonand the New England Conservatory come to mind. What is your musical background to date? Best wishes. ========================================================================= Date: Wed, 21 Sep 1994 19:03:34 GMT Reply-To: Early Music List Sender: Early Music List | |
