Ma le breast enlargement (Gynecomastia is a condition that typically effects a significant number of men. The majority of these cases begin during adolescence. In most patients, gynecomastia is caused by a combination of dense breast tissue behind the nipple and fatty tissue over the pectorals is major muscle. Liposuction alone in these patients will often lead to disappointing results. In these cases, minimal incision surgery is used to remove the firm breast tissue through an incision that hides nicely at the edge of the areola. When Dr. Jacobs uses this type of direct excision and combined with liposuction for feathering and tapering peripheral contour the results are most gratifying and have lasting results. Gynecomastia surgery is performed on an outpatient basis, with most patients reporting only modest discomfort. The improved chest contour is apparent by the third week following surgery after swelling subsides.

Gynecomastia (Male Breasts)
There are many men who develop breasts during puberty. Because they are embarrassed about their appearance, they won't go swimming or wear tight fitting shirts. Often they try body building as a way to hide the breasts but, when this doesn't work, they inquire about surgery. These pictures are of a patient who had very large breasts with extra hanging skin. This is the most difficult type of breast to remove without large chest scars. This procedure was done through a scar around the bottom half of the nipple and it involved both liposuction and the surgical removal of the central tissue of the breast . Like most patients, this gentleman didn't want any visible remnant of breast tissue left behind. Removal of Male breasts: pre- and post-op The purple lines are my pre-op markings to map out the location of the breast tissue (which is excised), the edge of the pectoralis muscle (which should be visible after surgery) and the surrounding fat (which is liposuctioned). Gynecomastia
Definition: The development of prominent breast tissue in the male.
Alternative Names: Breast development in a male
Considerations: The most common cause of gynecomastia in the male is puberty. The condition may occur in one or both breasts and begins as a small lump beneath the nipple, which may be tender. The breasts often enlarge unevenly. Gynecomastia during puberty is not uncommon, is self-limiting, and usually goes away over a period of months.
In newborns, breast development may be associated with milk flow ( galactorrhea ). This condition usually lasts for a couple of weeks and in rare cases may persist until the child is two years old. It is caused by exposure to maternal hormones.
Other causes of gynecomastia include chronic liver disease , kidney failure, and exposure to estrogens, androgens (often taken secretly for body building). marijuana , and some medications. Rare causes include tumors, genetic defects, and an overactive thyroid.
Common Causes:
  • puberty exposure to estrogen hormone exposure to androgen hormones marijuana use tumors genetic disorders chronic liver disease kidney failure side effects of some medications

General Information Gynecomastia is the enlargement of the breast in males. This can be due to actual breast tissue or fat. Whatever the cause this tissue is the source of embarrassment and occasional pain. It can be removed via liposuction alone or in combination with excision. Incisions are inconspicuous and patients can quickly return to work.
Length of Surgery 1 to 3 Hours
Location Accredited Surgery Center or Hospital
Anesthesia General or local with sedation
Recovery Time The patient can usually return to work in 5 days to a week depending on the individual. Exercise and strenuous activity may be done at 4 to 6 weeks following surgery. Post Operative Results Each patient heals differently; however following the surgery patients may experience temporary pain, swelling, possible bruising, soreness and fatigue. The small incisions will fade and flatten with time. It has been our experience that patients are very happy with their post op results and their new look. Helpful Hints Be in good mental and physical health. Do Not Smoke. Help improve healing by taking pre and postoperative vitamins. Improve the appearance of small scars with topical gel.

http://www.ricksilverman.com/GYNECOMASTIA FAQ.html
GYNECOMASTIA - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What is gynecomastia?
A: Literally, the term "gynecomastia" refers to female-like breasts. Of course, this is in guysfemale-like breasts in women are desirable. But in guys they're not welcome, which probably accounts for a common term you hear in the gym, "bitch tits" or "B.T.'s". Pretty derogatory, but not surprising when you think about how upset you'd be if you had the problem.
Q: What's gynecomastia look like? Does it really look like women's breasts?
A: It can, but of course that would be an extreme case. More typically, it starts as a little lump under the nipple, usually during puberty. The lump usually goes away with time, but not in all cases. Sometimes it gets bigger, causing the nipple to stick out. In a boy who is a little overweight, the chest might really start to look more like his sister's chest with early breast development. Some kids can even squeeze a little fluid out of the nipple. It's a pretty frightening experience for an adolescent, so lots of guys just ignore it hoping it will go awayunless their parents push them into seeing their doctor.
Q: Why would they do that...is this a dangerous condition?

Candidates for Male Breast Reduction include men with excess sagging tissue on their chest, usually resulting from a considerable weight loss or a condition called Gynecomastia. Gynecomastia is a condition in which a man develops larger-than-normal breasts. This is a condition not commonly discussed, but as you can imagine, men with Gynecomastia can become very self-conscious. The good news is that now this condition can be surgically corrected with little or no visible scarring afterwards! Some people who pursue Male Breast Reduction will also benefit from Liposuction of excess fat in the armpit area, or the contouring and flattening of abdomen with Liposuction and / or a Tummy Tuck.
About the Gynecomastia Procedure
Male Breast Reduction is usually done on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia.

Imaging Findings
Mammography: craniocaudal view
Mammography: mediolateral oblique view
Demonstration mammogram from another patient
Anteroposterior plain radiograph of the pelvis
MRI of the humerus

This man's mammogram demonstrates a focal opacity ( arrow ) in the central retroareolar region of the left breast. The more typical mammographic appearance of gynecomastia is a flame-shaped opacity which extends and expands posteriorly from the nipple. This flame-shaped opacity is better demonstrated on a craniocaudal mammogram from another patient ( arrow ). (The lead marker denotes the nipple.) This man's diffusely dense bones are demonstrated on a plain radiograph of the pelvis. A magnetic resonance image (MRI) of his humerus shows diffusely hypointense T1-weighted signal ( arrows ) in the bone marrow caused by the presence of innumerable mast cells.
Differential Diagnosis
Etiologies for a unilateral breast mass in a man include abscess, hematoma, lipoma, sebaceous cyst, gynecomastia, and carcinoma.

GYNECOMASTIA
G ynecomastia is enlargement of the breasts in male patients. This enlargement is most commonly noticed during childhood and puberty. However, in many cases, it will disappear by the late teens so I advise my patients to wait until they have fully matured before considering surgical treatment.
WHO IS A CANDIDATE FOR GYNECOMASTIA? Any male who has enlarged breasts and is over the age of twenty-one.
WHAT DOES THE PROCEDURE INVOLVE? The treatment of gynecomastia is based on the individual characteristics of each patient. In some cases, gynecomastia can be treated with liposuction alone. However, in other cases where there is more breast tissue, an incision will be made around the lower half of the areola and the excess breast tissue is surgically removed, this is followed by liposuction for contouring. The scar depends on which procedure is used. With liposuction alone, a 3mm incision is made and will leave a slight scar. With breast tissue removal, there is an incision around the areola in a half moon shape.

Gynecomastia Gynecomastia like any disease comes about as a malfunction of one or more of your bodies systems. Much if not most of the time this is a result of a slow degenerative process due to the lack of adequate bodily supplies of the elements necessary for normal function and rejuvenation of affected organs. Commercial Farming and natural erosion has depleted global farmlands of most essential elements therefore it is not wise to assume that your diet contains enough of these elements for normal body function and maintenance. See Senate Document 264. It is also unwise to suspect that intervention therapies will be successful without adequate dietary levels of these elements in useable forms. See The Package.
Gynecomastia is a condition in which firm breast tissue forms in males. The breast tissue is usually less than 1-1/2 inches across and is located directly under the nipple. Gynecomastia may be present on one side or on both sides. This condition may make the breast tender.

Back To www.anabolicsteroids.com I Have Found That The Higher The Dosages And The Longer The Cycles Of Anabolic Steroids The Better Your Chances For Getting "Bitch-Tits". "Hey there, I'm a 21 year old male from NJ. First I'd like to say, to all those juice-heads out there who insist that they are only taking creatine and aminos, give it a rest!!! Creatine and aminos may be good supplements, but there is no way in HELL that they are gonna put the size on like anabolic steroids do! Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the use of steroids, actually if taken properly they usually produce positive results. However, the "roids" are supposed to make your muscles bigger guys, not your ability to tell a lie. In other words, if you are man enough to take the juice, be man enough to admit it, so stop the Bullsh*t! I have been around anabolic steroids for 6 years now, and I learn something new everyday. One of the best things that I have learned is that anti-estrogens such as Nolvadex and Proviron really do work, and are certainly worth taking. In my experience, Nolvadex is better than Proviron, but only cause it's stronger, so when you are already taking other pills, it can be a pain in the ass keeping up with all the Proviron. I have seen numerous differences when Anti-estrogens are taken with your regular cycle. Now I'm talking about over a dozen people over a period of a few years, not just one guy, one time. What you have to realize is that when you take most anabolic steroids, they also have a Androgenic effect as well. To keep it simple, "your Testosterone level is gonna rise". In a way this is a good short term effect, because this is what will cause most of your strength gains, while the anabolic steroids will give you your size gains. But, your body will begin to produce Estrogen to balance the Testosterone levels. So, the more your Testosterone level increases through the amount of steroids you take, and the length of your cycle, the more your Estrogen level will increase as well. This irregular raise in Estrogen, can cause several side effects. The biggest is "gyno" better known as "bitch tits".

Gynecomastia
Gynecomastia is a somewhat confusing term, because it is commonly misused. the term gynecomastia actually refers to the presence of excess glandular breast tissue causing male breast enlargement. Incidence figures for gynecomastia frequently quoted are anywhere between 1% and 60% of the male population. True gynecomastia probably occurs toward the lowest end of this range (1%). Pseudogynecomastia is merely a deposit of excess fat in the area of the male breasts. This pseudogynecomastia is much more common, and occurs very frequently in males (some say in up to 40-60% of men). This explains the great disparity in incidence or pevalence ( how common the condition is) figures given. Unless actual breast tissue is present, the technically correct term for the condition is pseudogynecomastia. Because the term pseudogynecomastia is quite long, and because true gynecomastia is much more rare, most often breast enlargement in males is referred to as gynecomastia (though technically incorrect), because male breast enlargement is far more likely in any individual case to be pseudogynecomastia. Gynecomastia Correction by Liposuction for Enlarged Male Breasts
Gynecomastia is the term used for enlarged male breasts. Gynecomastia is a very common condition in men, affecting a significant percentage of men. Although there are medical causes of gynecomastia, most commonly there is no known cause nor any associated medical condition associated with male breast enlargement. Usually, male breast enlargement is due to exess fat in the male breasts, rather than actual breast tissue. This is what the term pseudogynecomastia means. Pseudogynecomastia is actually far more common than true gynecomastia. Although extremely common, gynecomastia is often a very considerable cosmetic and emotional concern for men who have it. gynecomastia before gynecomastia after Older techniques for correcting the condition were based on scalpel surgery. An incision would be made around the areola, and the fat removed directly through the incision. This results in reduction of the fat, and in improved shape, but left a scar around the areola. These scars are visible and can be very unnatural looking.

Overdevelopment of the male breast is a common problem. Frequently, it begins
during puberty, but may occur at any time during adulthood. Usually, there are
very few symptoms, but sometimes men complain of tenderness and discomfort
within the breast. Most commonly, men describe feeling self-conscious about
their breast size and are uneasy about exposing their chest in public.
There are two types of gynecomastia. The first type, primary gynecomastia, is
the most common. Men with primary gynecomastia usually develop excess
breast tissue during puberty. There is no underlying cause for this type of gynecomastia. On the other hand, secondary gynecomastia develops because of a detectable underlying cause. Some examples of this would include obesity, or the use of certain drugs such as steroids or marijuana. Treatment of gynecomastia includes treating any correctible underlying causes (i.e. weight loss when appropriate, discontinuing steroids). Otherwise, treatment

Gynecomastia A word about breast reduction in men... Gynecomastia is a medical term that comes from the Greek words for "women-like breasts." Though this oddly named condition is rarely talked about, it's actually quite common. Gynecomastia affects an estimated 40 to 60 percent of men. It may affect only one breast or both. Though certain drugs and medical problems have been linked with male breast overdevelopment, there is no known cause in the vast majority of cases.
For men who feel self-conscious about their appearance, breast-reduction surgery can help. The procedure removes fat and or glandular tissue from the breasts, and in extreme cases removes excess skin, resulting in a chest that is flatter, firmer, and better contoured.
If you're considering surgery to correct gynecomastia, this information will give you a basic understanding of the procedurewhen it can help, how it's performed, and what results you can expect. It can't answer all of your questions, since a lot depends on your individual circumstances. Please be sure to ask your doctor if there is anything about the procedure you don't understand.
