What is a Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug

As their name implies, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (or NSAIDs, as they are commonly called) are medicines that block or inhibit the body's inflammation process without the use of cortisone or other steroid drugs. The most commonly used NSAID's are aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen.
What is a COX II inhibitor?
COX II inhibitors are a relatively new family of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs ( NSAIDS). Though not necessarily more effective at reducing inflammation and pain than older, traditional nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, they represent an advance over the older drugs because they are believed to cause less stomach irritation. However, they are still classified as NSAIDS. Some doctors recommend that you not take them on an empty stomach. There is a controversy surrounding the use of COX II inhibitors. Some scientists believe that their use is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack. However, this is still just a theory. If you have concerns regarding COX II inhibitors, discuss them with your doctor.

Glucosamine Sulfate arthritis products are the new hope for arthritis sufferers. The debilitating joint pain and inflammation that are hallmarks of this disease can be managed effectively with natural products rather than expensive prescription drugs. One amazing benefit of glucosamine-sulfate arthritis products is that they can actually rebuild cartilage in joints. By using Glucosamine Sulfate you are addressing your immediate pain concerns and also using preventative medicine to guard against further deterioration. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease that develops when the lining between the joints b (cartilage) breaks down causing pain, inflammation, and loss of mobility. It is associated with aging and injury, and can occur as a secondary symptom to many other diseases. However in most cases it's true cause is unknown. What is known is that the body produces its own cartilage using amino acids. These acids are readily found in Glucosamine Sulfate, which can be taken topically in a cream or orally in a pill. Glucosamine Sulfate can be extremely beneficial for arthritis sufferers, restoring range of motion and freeing the patient from pain.

In response to concerns over the rheumatoid arthritis (RA) drug leflunomide (Arava ), the FDA appointed an advisory panel of experts to review data and determine if the safety risks of leflunomide were acceptable.
Based on the current safety data, an FDA panel of experts said that additional information is needed in order to determine whether or not there is an increased risk of lymphoma in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients receiving TNF inhibitors. No definitive recommendation can be made at this time. Currently, there are 3 TNF inhibitors (Enbrel , Remicade , and Humira ) approved for treatment in patients with RA.
