During a short stint on the TV series In Living Color , Wayans made his big-screen debut with brother Damon in 1992's heavily hyped Mo' Money, followed by a performance opposite the late Tupac Shakur in the 1994 basketball drama Above The Rim. Wayans then co-wrote and co-executive produced the uneven but occasionally hilarious 'hood-movie spoof Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood in 1995, during a break from his oft-maligned WB sitcom The Wayans Brothers. Since then, he's made a pair of films, The Sixth Man and Senseless , the latter of which just opened in theaters nationwide. The Onion recently spoke with Wayans about his TV show, the sad demise of Shakur, and why Hollywood won't let a black man play Robin. Scary Movie had seemed to be filmed at some of the exact locations that Scream was. Watching it, you can't help but realize how dumb Scream really was, but that's for another review. I Know What You Did Last Summer , a movie in which it spoofs. Scary Movie 's jokes puts this summer's to shame. In fact at times it puts the Farrelly Brothers themselves to shame. The acting is well timed for some jokes, while others, like a stand-up comedian, don't always work. But, the Wayan's Brothers did a fabulous job in putting the raunch back into raunchiness. Comparing the audience of this to that of , it was no comparison. The latter had a few a chuckles, while 'Scary' had a slew of belly crunching laughter. There is only one question now: Is there room in this world for the Wayan's and Farrelly's? If the Wayan's can write a good plot with their humor and placed against one of Farrelly's who would win? The Wayan's did it without the comedic genius of Carrey and still got great laughs while the script failed to this in Irene Now if you are the type of person who doesn't care about plot for movies, don't read further.

To stop this force are two priests (James Woods and former late night co-host Andy Richter). The two of them do their best to get the demon out of the possessed girl with no luck as the demon hurls disgusting words (and, well, you know) out of her mouth. Next we go forward 1 year to find Cindy Campbell (Faris), Shorty Meeks (M. Wayans), Ray Maker (S. Wayans) and Brenda Meeks (Hall) are all in college. They are recruited by a demented professor of the college (Curry) to partake in a study to find if there are any supernatural elements in Hell House. Once in the house the fun begins as the spirits take possession of a cat, clown and the housekeeper, Hanson (Elliott). Scary Movie 2 found the same gross-out humor that made the original such a huge success. This one has about the same amount ranging from a sort of vomiting contest to some sexual humor. Only some of this works and only because it was exactly what I expected to see. Although it got somewhat tiresome, it still made me chuckle at times despite the fact it is 8th grade humor (the vomit part, anyways).

"W ait a minute. Hold up! How come you white people always say you gotta split up?!" As you may recall from Scary Movie , Brenda (Regina Hall) says what's on her mind. (She's the one who could not shut up in the movie theater, incurring other viewers' murderous wrath.) At the point Brenda asks the above question in Scary Movie 2 , she and her friends are trapped inside the haunted Hell House, and they're deliberating what to do. Of course, she's right. Everyone who's seen a horror film knows that it's always a bad idea to split up when facing irate ghosts and demons. Scary Movie (as well as 1996's Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood and 1988's I'm Gonna Get You Sucka ) so refreshingly on-target. You laugh at the ballsy surprise and smart energy of this kind of joke: someone in a movie is saying just what you've been thinking, and the aim seems somehow true and new, even if it's not, exactly.

They have their bags packed; right after we talk, they're off to the airport to head back to Detroit, where they have work to do in the morning. They're tired, that's clear enough, but they are serious troopers. As we walk from the lobby to a sort of loungey area, past the bar and more than a few tree-size plants, they smile a bit, and when we sit on a couple of big, fat, expensively fabricked sofas, they look close to ecstatic: sitting down, it's all good. The New York-born Marlon and Shawn are the two youngest of 10 children, now aged 29 and 30, respectively. The family has always been close, and when oldest brother Dwayne died last summer, of respiratory failure, they all came together even more tightly. Much of their recent family history has been visible to the rest of us, as they've put their considerable energies into their work.
