As stated in the school’s philosophy, Annesley "is committed to meeting the needs of girls in their total education. It is a community of students, staff and parents which aims to create a happy, challenging climate based on Christian beliefs and principles. The college offers a supportive, disciplined environment: it maintains the best of traditional education yet is alive to the changing needs and their implications for the curriculum." Annesley is divided into three sections: a Junior School (K – 6), a Middle School (7 – 9) and a Senior School (10 – 12) each of which has their own Head with approximately 650 students overall. All students from Year 7 to 10 have their own notebook computer. For the most part students come from middle–class homes and they expect to remain at Annesley until the end of Year 12.
