Published in 'Times Literary Supplement', 'Poetry Review', 'Spectator', 'The Scotsman', 'Tribune' etc. and broadcast on BBC radio and TV, including commissioned poem for film. The Times Literary supplement praised my poetry's "wry humour...a refreshing antidote...peopled with charmless eccentrics, but treated with respect...a characteristic irony". Setting Up Your Room: Integrating Technology Centers into the Classroom Creative ways to use technologies in the curriculum to support literacy. Using Databases, Spreadsheets and PowerPoint Digital Cameras ... Publish on the Web to encourage writing!
“The unique ability of technology to enhance the professional performance of teachers and thereby the performance of students and institutions makes it imperative that teachers learn to teach with technology, not just about technology.” School and Technology Readiness Report
The One or Two Computer Classroom If you have only one or two computers in the classroom, you might want to create a center environment to support your curriculum. A centers approach to teaching offers the most success for integrating the computer within a lesson. It is a great way to individualize instruction…offering extended activities for the gifted students who finish quickly and remedial activities or adapted lessons for those who need them.
  • Research- after explaining project guidelines, have students work in groups of 2-3 Supplement instruction-after teaching content, find a site that supports the unit…(if you are new to the Internet and would like some help with a resource that is bigger than imagined, go to Surf, Stumble, Search and Lurch…

My Friend ...
I will Not Hurry

Touch Of Love Poetry
A Child's Prayer

Now I lay me down in school Where praying is against the rule. For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him very odd.
If scripture now the class recites It violates the Bill of Rights. Anytime my head I bow Becomes a federal matter now.
The law is specific; the law is precise. Praying out loud is no longer nice.
Praying aloud in a public hall Upsets those who believe in nothing at all.
In silence alone we can meditate And if God should get the creditgreat! They are bringing their guns, I don't dare bring my Bible, To do so might make me liable. So, now Oh Lord, this plea I make; Should I be shot in school, My soul please take. Poetry Index TOL Site Index The Magic of Love My Friend ...
