Child care resource and referral agencies (R&Rs) provide referrals and counseling to parents who are seeking child care. R&R agencies also help to coordinate local child care training efforts and serve as a clearinghouse for training information. Lending libraries of training resource guides, books, and toys for child care providers also are maintained. NACCRRA also offers a phone service that parents can call to find their local R&R (1-800-424-2246). "Learning Options" is a series of online courses that NACCRRA offers for child care professionals.

Many of these items began as projects funded by the National Literacy Secretariat. Most of the material listed here is available for loan. The HRDC Library does not loan to individuals directly, but will send items to other libraries through inter-library loan. If your organization does not have a library, contact your local public library and ask them to borrow the items you are interested in.
