Search With the increasing complexity of divorce law and children's law - and the rise of the nontraditional family - family law is one of the fastest growing and most complex practice specialties. Practitioners and judges have expressed a need for better training of family advocates in areas such as child development and the economics of the family, negotiation and drafting, and court room advocacy for families and children. Make Yourself More Marketable Under mandate from the Florida Supreme Court, state officials are in the process of creating a "Unified Family Court" to handle all family, juvenile and delinquency matters. This will create new demand for well-rounded and well-trained family law specialists. Levin College of Law is fortunate to have a substantial group of faculty experienced in those and related areas who have created the Family Law Certificate Program. Its innovative structure coordinates clinical and traditional classroom offerings and allows for more efficiency through sequential learning, with one course building on another. It is administered by the UF Center on Children and the Law.
