    Agricultural Economics
Students majoring in agricultural economics learn to apply economic and financial principles to the analysis of problems in agriculture, business, government, and other areas. The major offers students the opportunity to gain skills in planning, evaluation, and management that are useful in both private- and public-sector enterprises. Agricultural economics majors must meet the core requirements and choose one of three avail bale options ( Farm and Ranch Management General , or Public Policy ) and must complete at least fifteen hours of agricultural economics for a grade (not P/N). Students who intend to pursue a graduate degree program in agricultural economics may do so from any of the agricultural economics majors or options. To avoid deficiencies, the undergraduate program should include MATH 106 Analytic Geometry and Calculus I and both ECON 373 Intermediate Microeconomics and ECON 374 Intermediate Macroeconomics.
