Ann Sweeney
Singer Ann Sweeney stands 5'11" in stocking feet, 6'4" in gig shoes. She credits her mother for both her height and her voice, and considers her classical training a mere bump in the road to Fusion Lounge stardom. She lists k.d. lang and Ella Fitzgerald as musical heroes... well, duh. Tommy Sweeney
Tommy Sweeney started his own band when he realized he couldn't join anyone else's. Growing up in the woods of northern Minnesota, he used synthesizers and drum machines to make up for lack of bandmates. Upon selling his home studio to pay back money he borrowed from a girlfriend, he was forced to take up guitar to continue songwriting. Former bands have included Black Jack Davey, Swimming Pool Blue, and Sugarfixx. His influences include the obvious Sting and Sade, but the astute listener should pick up references by Gary Numan, The Clash, Everything But the Girl, Sneaker Pimps, Stereolab, and Cibo Mato as well. He doesn't consider his own songs finished until he can feel good performing them solo. He knows the band has finished their version of his songs when he would not feel good about playing them solo!

Gershwin
George Gershwin lived between 1898 and 1937. He is considered to be a twentieth century composer.
If you hate homework but like roller skating, you have something in common with American composer George Gershwin. Born in Brooklyn, New Yord to Russian immigrant parents, George loved to play street hockey, 'cat', and punch ball. He didn’t even have an interest in music until his family got him a piano when he was twelve. Nine years later he had his first hit, "Swanee", with lyrics written by Irving Caesar. No one else in the Gershwin family was musical, but George was fascinated by music. When he heard a schoolmate play the violin, George struck up a friendship with the boym who introduced him to the world of concert music.
Gershwin's American in Paris and Rhapsody in Blue (featured in Disney's newly released Fantasia 2000 ) proved that jazz was powerful enough to combine will with symphonic music. Gershwin was only 26 years old at the time when he composed

The group includes Taylor on viola, violin and acoustic guitar, Steve Zirkel on fretless and fretted electric bass and trumpet,, Brad Evilsizer on drums and percussion, and Jason McKenzie on tablas, drums and percussion. Taylor formed the group in 2000, after rehearsing and presenting a number of eclectic and enthusiastically received shows with artists from the pop, rock and folk communities, including artists such as Sara Hickman and Barbara K . The group's self-titled cd , released in December of 2000, offers a small window into the eclectic group of singers, songwriters, and instrumental and stylistic approaches that have created such a buzz for Strings Attached, including recordings with artists such as Ian Moore , Sara Hickman, and Barbara K. It was obvious to Taylor and the artists involved that the scene was ready to see a formalized group continue these collaborative efforts, and Strings Attached was the result. Since that time, recent shows have featured Ray Wylie Hubbard,

    http://www.seattlecomposers.org/about/bios/f_clark_grogan.html
    F. Clark Grogan
    F. Clark Grogan grew up in Clearwater, Florida where his involvement with music began at an early age with his participation in church vocal and bell ensembles. These activities continued into his teens when lessons on the guitar turned his ear to the music of Joe Pass, Tal Farlow, and John Coltrane. It was because of this interest in serious improvisational music, that Mr. Grogan was encouraged to pursue jazz studies at The University of North Texas. As an undergraduate student at the University of North Texas, Mr. Grogan wrote, arranged, and transcribed music for a contemporary jazz quintet specializing in the music of Carla Bley, Don Grolnick, Vital Information, Weather Report, and many other contemporary jazz greats. In addition to his involvement with improvisational music, he was beginning to be exposed to the compositional methods of contemporary classical music. Due to an increasing interest in contemporary classical music, Mr. Grogan began to pursue a degree in Music Theory while continuing his involvement with jazz music. After graduating from the University of North Texas in 1989, Mr. Grogan continued to broaden his musical experiences in Columbus, Ohio. While pursuing a graduate degree in composition at the Ohio State University, Mr. Grogan wrote pieces for clarinet solo, string quartet, jazz tentet, and jazz quintet. He also began experimenting with a variety of methods of sound design.
