http://www.juniata.edu/pages/admissn/applying.html
New students (freshmen and transfers) must be admitted to the College before financial aid can be awarded. Transfer students are required to submit a Financial Aid Transcript to the Office of Student Financial Planning from every post- secondary institution they have attended even if no aid was received. New students should file applications for assistance by March 1 to ensure they are considered for all available funding. Non-degree students pursuing teacher certification should contact the Office of Student Financial Planning for additional information.
Continuing need-based aid recipients must reapply each year by April 1. Students who fail to meet the deadline date cannot be guaranteed that their funding will remain at levels consistent with the previous years. The renewal FAFSA, signed copies of federal tax returns, W-2 wage statements, and the Institutional Data Form (IDF) are required of both students and parents (if student is dependent).
Students and their families may have to complete several applications to receive consideration for various financial aid programs. Forms generally fall into two categories: applications used to determine eligibility for need-based aid and loan applications.

Academic qualifications are important, but equally important are motivation, character, attitude, initiative, willingness to work, and a desire to succeed. Through career counseling, most applicants can be directed into programs where they will achieve employable skills. Each candidate for admission is considered individually on merit and potential. High school graduation or its equivalent (G.E.D.) is the basic requirement for admission. Other factors, such as high school transcripts, rank in class, attendance, and personal evaluations are carefully considered. We encourage all students to visit the College, as well as observe classes, so that they may better understand what is expected. Students may audit classes free of charge. All students are required to take and pass an entrance assessment.
