The Double Grabber Insurance Sales Letter That Got a 60% Appointment Rate! Step #2 in the MILLENNIUM MARKETING SYSTEM is "Get Attention and Give 'em an Irresistible Offer." Here's a great example. You're welcome to use it and customize it for your "precision market." The "mock check" letter is a tried-and-true direct marketing strategy. One of them probably shows up in your mail every week...so why not steal the idea and use it yourself? The following letter got a 60% appointment rate when followed up with a call! Usually, mock checks show up in window envelopes. Yes, that takes more work, but "big time" direct marketers do it because it gets results. Generally, the envelope has an official look and a street address return address (no company name). You can vary the concept any way you want. Testing is paramount, as always. Whatever you do, the envelope is important. Generally, if it looks like it's coming from an "insurance salesman," it will drop dramatically in response.

Back to Coaching Archive of Coaching Tips The Four Storey Coaching Model Each player aspires to be the best. Each coach tries to bring the best out in players. One of the better ways to do this is to check for ways to improve individual players. A top player should have four main qualities: Superb Technique / Athleticism / Speed of Thought / Ability to be a Teamplayer Think about your coaching sessions. In every session you should be working to develop at least three of these qualities, one on top of the other. If not, you're not really coaching. If you need to change, do it now! A group of five year-olds might practise bouncing [technique], running and dodging [atleticism], tag-belt tig [speed of thought] and relays [teamplay]. A group of eight year-olds may work on kicking with either foot [technique], races [athleticism], two-touch football [speed of thought] and a 7 a-side game [teamplay] A squad of senior players may work on various drills [technique], sprints [athleticism], conditioned games [speed of thought] and backs v forwards [teamplay]. Drills v Games As players develop, their technique improves more rapidly than any other part of their game. They can usually learn to kick, catch, fist, block, solo etc. with a fair degree of comfort. The better players often practise these skills at home and come on faster than those who only rely on drills in coaching sessions once or twice a week.

BACK TO HOME THE LATEST TIP DOUBLE WING/COACHING TIPS E-MAIL QUESTIONS OR SUGGESTIONS Read my SCHOLASTIC COACH article on our "WILDCAT" direct-snap package 102. In seventeen years of running the winged-T we have always rotated the ball as the center snapped it. This was done so that the laces were placed correctly into the Q.B.'s fingers. In watching your Troubleshooting video however, yo go to some length to explain that hiding the ball is more advantageous than faking. To that end you bring the football immediately into the groin in a point-to-point fashion. Is the ball being snapped point-to-point? If so, is the QB holding his hands in the conventional manner or does he receive the ball with his thumbs up? TO SEE THIS ILLUSTRATED 101. What do you mean by "counting men" on defense? Defensive is matched up numerically Defense is a half-man short to trips side (Slanting the line toward trips would even up the numbers) 100. What plays/strategies do you use against "grub" or submarining DT's? We're already working on our list of referee points and will include what you've given us, but how do you handle them? Assuming that they are coming hard, while it may not be possible to trap them, we found toward the end of last season that what we call "Charlie" blocking (Delaware's Gut Trap) looks promising, even with our tight splits. We don't block the playside DT at all, just influencing him with the playside guard's pull and folding the center and backside guard. In running outside, the guy who submarines is vulnerable to being buried by a down block - have your lineman drive low into the gap, getting his shoulders there in front of the defender (throwing an uppercut underneath, if possible) or else shoving the defender into the ground with both hands in his back. As in all down blocking, just make sure your man gets there first to prevent pentration.

    How we teach
It is very important to realize how we teach is as important as what we teach. This will apply in how I teach you and how you teach your patients. Let's take a closer look at how I teach/facilitate the L.A.A.S.R. your communications and be brilliant at the basics teleconference course. We'll start with the difference between concepts, principles and rules. Concepts are an idea, they usually start off with "can you imagine?" Such as, can you imagine just floating in space? That is a concept. Principles are the laws of the universe that can be applied to attain the concept, or bring the concept into reality. Such as, heat rises, if we take a large amount of fabric and heat air under it, the fabric will trap the rising air and the fabric will begin to rise. If we then tie rope to the fabric and tie the other end of the rope to a basket we can sit in the basket and we can float. This would be called a hot air balloon. Rules are; "this is exactly how to do it." Take 30 square feet of blue parachute material, take eight ropes and connect them in exactly this way, take this exact model of furnace and fix it to the basket in this way.

    Touch, tell, ask, teach
Touch, tell, ask and teach is one of the great lost arts in chiropractic. In the L.A.A.S.R. teleconference course we go into extensive detail on how to utilize and apply this lost art. With T.T.A.T. we learn to spin a story for our patients. We learn to meet them where they are and draw the circle a little bigger each and every visit, while keeping the patients excited and engaged in their healing process. Too often doctors mutter under their breath while they are "working on" their patients. Others spend too much time going into elaborate stories about "what is going on" with their patients. With T.T.A.T. you can connect with your patients, let them know what you have found, what it means to you, what it means to them, and how what you are doing will benefit them. All of this is accomplished in a matter of moments. Most doctors feel that this one tool is worth the entire price of the L.A.A.S.R. course.

Coaching Tips New tip sent in by Sherry LaRue, who credits her colleague and mentor, Tom Tom Bower, soccer coach for the Latin School: If you have something important to say to your team players, have them sit down facing you (but not facing into the sun) while you stand. They will be forced to look at you, and they will listen a lot better. When they are standing, they tend to play with the ball or be distracted by other players. These are brought to you by Margaret Johnson, who says: "The following are in no particular order of importance, although I've tried to put tips of a similar nature in the same general locations. How to Instruct an Effective Basketball Practice
Hi, my name is Tauhid and I will be giving all you potential high school coaches few tips on how to instruct a rewarding basketball practice with your players. Being a high school coach for the last six years for the JV team at Hall High School in West Hartford Connecticut, I picked up few guidelines which can help you. Here it goes!
  • Motivation is Key.

  • You are the primary motivator
    • You always have to be positive. Your main responsibility is to push your players to play harder. Even if a player didn't run a play correctly, always encourage him to improve. Always critique, not criticize the player.
    Write down your practice plan.
    Be more organized
    • You can get 5-10 times more from your players if you are organized. Plan for the day, week, month and season. All but daily planning involves deciding when to introduce particular skills. (It's okay if you don't stay exactly on schedule) Some skills, like shooting and defense, need to be practiced every day. Many team skills, especially plays, can be postponed. Make sure your plan keeps players involved all the time, not waiting in line for other groups to finish.

Coaching TIPS for the Home-Based Business Mom
By Tracy Moland of The Gift of Time "Sorry about the noise, the business daycare is located right beside my office!” Have you ever used that line? Or wished you could? Why is it that every time the business line rings, the kids NEED Mommy.
Welcome to the life of a work-at-home mom. We go about our work a little differently than some women, but we still do it. Are we as professional? Or as effective? You bet we are. As any parent knows, parenting is a full time job. But many of us also work and some of us work from home. We often choose to work from home so that we can spend more time with our
families and it usually works. It does not come easy and sometimes the two start to blend and cross lines, and neither is done effectively. Here are some tips to keep in mind to prevent the overlap.
    1) Unique Time Slots
    2) Schedule
    3) Share Your Business
    4) Have a Plan - Sometimes, even with time slots and a schedule something will happen. Make sure you have a plan. I have held business meetings at a restaurant with a play area. I have a day home I can call. Others have a box of different toys or candy that you can pull out as a distraction.
    5) Create Systems - Create different systems for you and your family to use. Use a signal such as holding your hand in the air to signal it is a business call and the kids need to wait. Create a mini office with similar items for the kids to play at when you are working.

Take this into consideration, you may actually have to teach them the basics ofrunning correctly. Relaxation is key. Simply Baserunning and coaching tips.
    http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze28hbz/running.html
    BASE RUNNING
Running is one of the most natural skills for the young player.
Base running however is a completely different story.
Most of the players at this age enjoy running and are in reasonably good condition, but many of them have improper running technique. A coach's job will be to correct errors in running form, teach correct base running skills and develop positive attitudes about hustle and aggressiveness
Base running has always been very underrated in baseball.
The fastest base runners aren't necessarily the smartest and the slow base runners can make up for their lack of speed by being smart. Base running is a part of baseball that does not get a lot of attention in practice. The best base running teams are those that drill their players in practice. Another added benefit for the younger players if a coach puts an emphasis on base running, is they will tend to pay closer attention to the game when they are on base. Drill your team in base running and you will actually see how it can become your tenth man on the team and you will be happy with the benefits
    Running Basics
Dependant on the age of the players you are coaching, you will be dealing with different running skill sets.
