Chameleon's are the personification of the exotic world of mother nature. There is nothing quite as unique as one of the many species of lizards. Currently we have breeding programs for the Montium and Veiled lizards but will be expanding our list of species over time. With over 100 species of lizards known in the world, the knowledge required to successfully breed and raise these exotic animals in capitivity is limited. As we collect more information on the care and husbandry of the lizards we'll offer more species to the public. lizards panther chameleon breeders

http://www.zoorainforest.co.nz/chameleon.html
Jackson's Chameleon (Chamaeleo jacksonii) Class: Reptilia Order: Squamata (lizards and snakes) Sub Order: Sauria (lizards) Family: Chamaeleonidae Description: Is it a lizard, or a miniature three horned dinosaur? The females do not possess the three horns of the male but are often larger, the average size being between 23 and 54 cms long. All chameleons have a prehensile tail and clawed feet with short necks. Chameleons have independently focussing eyes (which can move in different directions) giving them 360 degree vision. Strange and unusual: The chameleon has no external ear drum, and they can colour co-ordinate their skin by the use of hormones which come into effect when they are frightened and in response to light or other environmental changes. Distribution: The true old world chameleons can be found in Africa, Madagascar, Spain, Southern Europe, Arabia, India, Sri Lanka, and the Seychelles Islands. Diet: Feed on insects, worms and various other invertebrates. Some species even eat other lizards and small birds.

Bodyplan
As chameleons went from flatfooted ground dwelling lizards to arboreal aces, their bodies have undergone a series of changes that have allowed these animals to better survive in their environments.
The body
The chameleon bodyplan differs from that of most lacertilians in that it is more laterally flattened. This setup has serves a two fold purpose. First it makes the lizard larger to predators and rivals and second it allows them to better blend in with the surrounding foliage (a laterally flattened chameleon has a better chance of not casting a shadow on its branch than a more dorsoventrally centered lizard. To aid in the area of scare tactics, chameleons also possess an intricate series of lungs. With the exception of varanids, chameleons possess more complex lung structures than other lizards. In some species the lungs extend virtually throughout the body, allowing the chameleon to puff up for defensive and courting displays. Some have smooth, undivided lungs while others possess complex, partitioned ones. When a chameleon feels the need to look large and in charge it can inflate its lungs to increase their size. The degree of inflation depends on the chameleon and the situation.
Unlike an anole or iguana, chameleons possess appendages that were made for clamping onto the various twigs and branches in their environment, thus making them better capable of going out on a limb :)

http://www.vmsherp.com/CarePages/CareVeiled.htm
Veiled Chameleon Chameleo calyptratus calyptratus Native Range: A narrow coastal region of Yemen and adjacent Saudi Arabia. The Veiled Chameleon is easy to keep, very hardy, large and attractive, prolific and easy to breed, and sexable at hatching. These traits all combine to make a lizard perfectly suited for the pet trade. A second subspecies, C. c. calcarifer , is not available at this time. Size and Appearance: Approximately two and one-quarter to three inches long at birth. Adult males may grow eighteen to twenty-four inches in length while females are smaller, usually around a foot in length. Juveniles of both sexes are typically pale green with a white lateral stripe when at rest. If disturbed, they may rapidly darken to solid purplish brown and may even drop to the floor of the cage and play dead. Handling: If threatened, these lizards attempt first to move away; if restrained they may attempt to bite. Allow the chameleon to walk upon your hand and fingers, prodding it to direct it into place. Remember that the tail and feet are very delicate and may be damaged if handled roughly or pulled from a branch. Handle gently, without pinching or squeezing. Until accustomed to handling; the chameleon should be handled inside the cage or while sitting on the floor. A frightened chameleon may leap out of the keepers’ hand and take a fatal fall if held while standing. Chameleons are by nature nervous creatures – avoid sudden movements and loud conversation which may frighten the lizard.

Stage Name: Chameleon
Real Name: Dora Connery
Eye Color: Light Blue
Hair Color: Reddish Brown
Age:
Instrument:
Drums
Background: Dora Connery is the daughter of the head of a mid-sized electronics sales firm based in Los Angeles. Her mother works with her husband in running the firm. A shy, withdrawn young girl, Dora was fascinated from the start with electronics and learned to build various electronic devices while still a child. She did however have one problem that concerned her parents; she tended to get very hyperactive at times. To deal with this, Dora's father got the idea of giving her an old drum set to channel her hyperactivity. Dora immediately took to the drums and learned to play them proficiently..she found her drum kit an ideal way of learning self-control. She did, however, make an unlikely friend in Deanna Beauchamp, a next door neighbor who was as outgoing as Dora was shy. As different as they were, she and Dora bonded and soon became close. In high school, she was a bright but socially awkward student, who rarely attended social events but was a member of both the school's Beta Club and National Honor Society. One day, while Deanna was recuperating from a motorcycle crash, Dora was picked on by a group of bullies. As she shrank back from them, suddenly, a large, black-haired woman named Kathy chased them off. A grateful Dora introduced Kathy to Deanna. Kathy in turn, introduced her friend Claire. Soon the four became the musical group named "The Limp Lizards". When Claire gave the band their name, she gave Dora the Stage name "Chameleon" because of her tendency to blend into the background of any social setting.
