Suetonius, another Roman historian, lived A.D. 75-160. It has been noted that Suetonius considered Christ (Chrestus) to be a Roman rebel active in the days of Claudius, who reigned A.D. 41-54: "Judaeos, impulsore Chresto, assidue tumultuantes (Claudius) Roma expulit". "Since the Jews constantly made disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus expelled them from Rome" (Clau., xxv). Josephus Tacitus Pliny the Younger

A.D. , Roman biographer. Little is known about his life except that he was briefly the private secretary of Emperor Hadrian. His De vita Caesarum [concerning the lives of the Caesars] survives almost in full; it was translated into English by Robert Graves as The Twelve Caesars (1957). There are also fragments of a much larger collection of biographies, De viris illustribus [concerning illustrious men]. He gathered together all sorts of anecdotes, and the resultant biographies are lively and informative. Suetonius was taken as a model by many later biographers. 49. Evidence For Christianity Outside The Bible - Suetonius
The Roman historian suetonius describes how in 49 AD the emperor Claudius expelledthe Jews from Rome because of riots probably between Jews and Christians.

'Facing the Challenge' is a new course to train Christians to respond to our postmodern culture in a Biblical, effective way What's New on the site?
Suetonius Suetonius was a Roman historian and an official under the emperor Hadrian . In his ‘Life of Claudius ’, he says (25:4): As the Jews were making constant disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus [= Christ?], he [Claudius] expelled them from Rome. This expulsion took place in AD 49, and is identified with the event described by Luke in Acts chapter 18 verse 2 Then, in his ‘ Lives of the Caesars ’, Suetonius says (26:2) of the fire of Rome in AD 64, that: Punishment by Nero was inflicted on the Christians, a class of men given to a new and mischievous superstition. Although Suetonius does not provide direct historical evidence for Christ, he does provide evidence for the existence of a significant Christian community in the capital of the empire by the 60s AD (i.e. just after the end of the book of Acts).  He also provides possible evidence for the existence of a Christian community there as early as AD 49. I don't whether you're asking about the meaning of Parthenias, or how the word functions in the clause. It's predicate nominative. The understood subject is Vergil. Parthenias comes from the Greek parthenos, and means 'virginal' or some such.
"...Montanus used to say that he would steal certain (lines) from Vergil, if he could also (steal) his voice and delivery and powers of mimicry..." That's the way I see it, anyway. Hope this helps.

CAMUS, SUETONIUS AND THE CALIGULA MYTH
THE PHENOMENON of the revival of classical Greek themes in the French theatre in the mid-twentieth century has by now been well discussed and documented. Classical tombs may well have been robbed in France between 1920 and 1950, and the genre has undoubtedly been Yet of the enormous range of themes and characters which were fully exploited in the Renaissance, the number transposed to the modern period is small. Oedipus and Jocasta, Antigone and Creon, Orestes and Electra, these are the characters and relationships which dominate the age, reflecting, perhaps, some of the most significant aspects of the French malaise at this time: increasing sensitivity to the arrogance of political power, a growing consciousness in intellectuals of metaphysical alienation, and a general re-examination of personal (particularly sexual?) values. Atridae. Prometheus Bound which he did with the Theatre du Travail in March, 1937. By this time, it will be remembered, Camus had been heavily involved in the creation of two semi-Brechtian, anti-Fascist plays, Le Temps du Mépris and Révolte dans les Asturies

Suetonius
c. AD 69 - after 122
aius Suetonius Tranquillus was a Roman biographer and antiquarian whose writings include De viris illustribus ("Concerning Illustrious Men"), a collection of short biographies of celebrated Roman literary figures, and De vita Caesarum (Lives of the Caesars). The latter book, seasoned with bits of gossip and scandal relating to the lives of the first 11 emperors, secured him lasting fame. Suetonius came from an equestrian family. He was a friend and protégé of Pliny the Younger. Upon the accession of Emperor Hadrian (117), he entered the imperial service, holding, probably simultaneously, the posts of controller of the Roman libraries, keeper of the archives, and adviser to the emperor on cultural matters. Probably around 121 he was promoted to secretary of the imperial correspondence, but in 122 or somewhat later he was dismissed for the neglect of court formality, after which he presumably devoted himself to literary pursuits. Most of Suetonius' writings were antiquarian, dealing with such subjects as Greek pastimes, the history of Roman spectacles and shows, oaths and imprecations and their origins, terminology of clothing, well-known courtesans, physical defects, and the growth of the civil service. An encyclopaedia called Prata ("Meadows"), a work like the Natural History of Pliny the Elder, was attributed to him and often quoted in late antiquity. Suetonius' De viris illustribus is divided into short books on Roman poets, orators, historians, grammarians and rhetoricians, and perhaps philosophers. Very nearly all that is known about the lives of Rome's eminent authors stems ultimately from this work, which survives only partially.
