During his 12 year career in the NFL, Bernie Kosar spent most of his time with the Cleveland Browns, where he lead them to 3 AFC Championship games. Since joining the NFL in 1985, he has passed for 23,301 yards and 124 touchdowns. Following his 8 years in Cleveland, Bernie Kosar earned a Super Bowl ring as backup to Troy Aikman in Dallas and then came to Miami, where he spent the last 3 years of his career as a backup to Dan Marino.

On the very next play, Browns linebacker Clay Matthews picked off Kelly's 11-yard pass on the 1-yard line with 9 ticks left on the clock to win and send the Bills to the dressing room wondering what if. The Bills opened the scoring in spectacular fashion. Kelly linked up with Andre Reed for a 72-yard touchdown. Four minutes later, the Browns got a 45-yard field goal by Matt Bahr. We have learned from reliable sources that Dan Marino and Bernie Kosar are heading a group of investors that made an offer to purchase the Florida Panthers Hockey Club from Boca Resorts Inc. It is not known at his time if in fact the deal has been accepted or what the offering price is, but our sources tell us they are very close to making an announcement. One month ago, we had indications that the Florida Panthers were sold, but the deal fell through shortly after we broke the story. It turns out that Scott Mellanby's father was one of the potential purchasers of the team, but backed off for no apparent reason. Dan Marino retired from football last year but has always been a fan of the Florida Panthers since the inception of the team. He and his family could always be seen supporting the team at the Miami Arena, and more recently at the National Car Rental Center.
