DE MUSEUMKR@NT Wel of geen echte Vermeer in Kasteel Het Nijenhuis Portret van Dr. Hannema Charlotte van Pallandt - 1974 Diana Ossip Zadkine - 1939 Composition 1918 no.5 Bart van der Leck Collectie Hannema-de Stuers Fundatie te zien op Kasteel Het Nijenhuis te Heino/Wijhe Tentoonstellingen, tuin en park: dinsdag t/m zondag 11.00-17.00 kasteel dinsdag en donderdagmiddag t/m 5 september, daarna op afspraak. Wie afreist naar Heino moet weten dat er op het moment maar weinig van de vaste collectie te zien is. In de bijgebouwen is namelijk t/m 22 augustus plaats gemaakt voor de beelden van Vermeers. it is al een van de verwarringen die optreedt bij de entree. Want als je vraagt waar de Vermeers te zien zijn dan wordt er als vanzelfsprekend aangenomen dat je de leerling van Constant Permeke bedoelt en voor je het weet sta je dan voor de beeldhouwwerken van Jacob Vermeers. En als je dan teruggaat naar de portier en zegt nee niet deze Vermeers maar de zogenaamde schilderijen van Jan Vermeer. Dan word je naar het hoofdgebouw gestuurd wat pas open gaat om 1 uur. Helaas, helaas, zijn hier niet alle beloofde werken te bezichtigen van de Hannema- de Stuers Fundatie, maar toch een gedeelte waaronder twee van de omstreden werken. Kasteel Het Nijenhuis Zijn gevoel voor kunst werd hem bijgebracht door zijn moeder, die het een en ander had verzameld onder leiding van de kunsthistoricus Bredius. Dat Dirk Hannema talent had bleek al op zijn veertiende jaar toen hij in een uitdragerij een Jongkind kocht. Bovendien bleek het een charmante man te zijn met veel overtuigingskracht, want elke keer weer bleken met name zijn scheldschieters de heren Van der Vorm en van Beuningen mee te gaan in zijn enthousiasme voor het een nieuw aan te kopen kunstwerk.

De Stijl Their architecture consisted of mainly solid geometric shapes, such as triangular chairs, and sphere-like windows. While their art must have appeared rather radical for the time, their success as architectural artists was phenomenal. The artists maintained close ties to intellectualism and philosophy. The De Stijl movement represented a part of art that also used bold and primary colouring. Their movement indeed represented a favourable style. History The De Stijl movement was originally founded in 1917 by an aspiring group of young Dutch architects. The essential characters included Piet Mondrian, Theo Van Doesburg, and Bart Van Der Leck. While away in Holland in 1914, Piet Mondrian was forced to stay in Holland due to changes in the war. While staying in Holland, Mondrian met Bart Van Der Leck and Theo Van Doesburg. With their newly-found friendship, the three men would soon found the De Stijl movement. Within De Stijl exists three periods through which the movement as a whole is defined. The three periods go as follows: the immature period from 1916 to 1921, the mature period from 1921 to 1925, and the period of deterioration from 1925 to 1931. During the first immature and underdeveloped stage of De Stijl, the artists focused mainly to display painting and sculpture. They did so with drawings and sketching of city streets, and models for architectural design. Also during this phase, the artists worked closely with one another on the De Stijl magazine, a self-promoting magazine founded in 1917. The second phase of De Stijl, also known as the mature stage, lasted from 1921 to 1925. During this phase most critics acclaim that De Stijl displayed its most lasting work.

home constructivism influences graham potter galleries terms ... contact Constructivist Art (Constructivism) is a term used to define a type of totally abstract (non-representational) relief construction, sculpture, kinetics and painting. The work is ordered and often minimal, geometric, spatial, architectonic and experimental in the use of industrial material. The principles of constructivism theory are derived from three main movements that evolved in the early part of the 20th century: Suprematism in Russia, De Stijl (Neo Plasticism) in Holland and the Bauhaus in Germany. Constructivism has been closely associated with architecture and the applied arts from its beginning. These early movements were idealistic, seeking a new order in art and architecture that dealt with social and economic problems. RUSSIA 1910-1921 :: During the early part of this period the Russian avant-garde embraced Cubism and Futurism and moved toward a non-objective art (art without subject) exemplified by Kasmir Malevich's development of Suprematism. In 1913-14 Vladimir Tatlin made and exhibited several relief constructions using industrial materials inspired by the Furturist Umberto Boccioni's vision of 'plastic configurations in space' and the 3D collages seen in Picasso's Paris studio. Tatlin used the term Constructivism to describe these works. The first Constructivist manifesto appeared in 1921 when the First Working Group of Constructivists was formed in Moscow. Other developments principally in Holland and Germany led the movement to expand and become international.
