3-0 out of 5 stars Quick Critical Care Reference
I thought the book was too vague and it not as informative as it should have been. I would have much rather spend more money on a more detailed book.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good pocket tool for the ICU Nurse
This is a handy little reference that covers a great deal of info in a pocket-sized form.

5-0 out of 5 stars pocket sized facts

5-0 out of 5 stars A Delicious and Nutritious Diet
The recipes in this book are delicious and so easy to prepare. I love knowing that what I'm eating is healthy and nutritious, besides also helping me to lose weight.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Book!
This book came on time. It was a reasonable price and if you love Mediterranean food, this will be right up your alley. There is a 28 day diet in the book that is a really tasty diet. I always eat a Mediterranean diet anyway just because it is so healthy for you but think about it... they say some of the oldest living people in the world eat the Mediterranean way... there certainly must be something to it. If you like natural food... buy the book... you won't be disappointed!

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to Follow
I've finally found a cookbook that supplies nutritional information and easy-to-follow recipes. After experimenting with many diet plans the recipes in this book are easy to read, healthy to eat, and delicious to taste. I'vebegun the diet and after 1 week I've already lost 5 pounds. Not only this, but the variety of food and snacks helps me when I'm feeling that hunger pang come mid afternoon. Many of the ingredients I already store in my fridge and cupboards or are easily available at the local market. I think the variety and the quick preparation times are also a big benefit to someone on the go and as busy as I am in my daily routine. I have recommended this book to many friends and relatives as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Mediterranean Recipes
I love this book!It reminded me of meals with my grandmother who grew up in the Mediterranean. She always made special meals with spinach, dill, lemon, olive oil & phyllo dough, very different than the typical American diet. She always used natural ingredients too. When I read this diet I flipped, it had so many of the recipes and tastes that she had made 50 years ago. They were healthy then as they are now.Now I know how to capture that taste.
The recipes were easy with very few ingredients. The diet is not hard to follow as the food is delicious. There is something to eat from breakfast to snacks. You don't have to be on a diet to enjoy this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Meiterranean Diet for Dummies
If you want to learn about the history and benefits of the Mediterranean Diet, this is the book to get. But background information on the diet is only a small part fo the book. The "28 Day Mediterranean Diet Plan" is also a self help guide on how to lose weight. It provides over 40 pages of easy to prepare, tasty recipes. But that's not all. The 28 Day Mediterranean Diet plan also inlcudes a recipe on how to live a healther life. Better yet, the recipes work! I lost 10 pounds in the last month, and generally feel younger. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Not a bad book after all, very useful
I used this book for the service and support, NDS Impl, and intergrating Windows NT and I passed very well. an average of about 80% on each test.I agree it needs some proper editing. Not as bad as some of my collegues have put down

MCSE, CNE, CCNA

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed by lack of editing
I studied this book, foolishly thinking that it would prepare me for all six exams. Went into "Netware Admin" exam feeling quite confident and came out having passed only by a small margin. So far, I've reportedapproximately four inaccuracies to Osborne and (three weeks later) I'vereceived "zero" response from the authors. On page 385, the textstates min. free space required for SYS: volume is 150 MB. On page 406, thetext contradicts itself by stating minimum SYS: volume space required as200 MB. And the hits just keep coming and coming...I would not recommendthis book to anyone, based on the numerous informational inaccuracies andlack of editorial attention.

1-0 out of 5 stars Use as basic introduction only....
made the mistake of sitting the Advanced Admin test with this book alone..... bad move... about 15 or the 72 questions were based on material not covered in the admin and advanced admin sections....stuff on groupwise, border manager, managewise, DSL and FTP. do NOT use this book as a solereference - fine for the basic concepts but ridiculously inept for theAdvanced Admin exam.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not presented as advertised
I used this book along with two other study guides. The other guides were both more accurate and complete, but reading this first gave me a shorter, and fairly good introduction to the material. It let me know where Ineeded to study further.

On the down side, whole topics were missing fromeach of the six sections. This book is a fine starting point, if you haveother resources to draw from.

However.

From the cover of the book: "complete coverage of all the required core exams".This issimply not true. This book is not "complete".This book failsto live up to its own claims.

1-0 out of 5 stars Incomplete. This book is woefully incomplete. (0 Stars)
(I sent this email to the public relations department at Osborne I was so irritated by this book)

I am writing to inform you of my complete dissatisfaction with your CNE Netware 5 study guide in the Global KnowledgeCertification Press Series (ISBN 0-07-211923-3).

I just completed (andfailed to pass) the Networking Technologies Exam (50-632) after studyingfrom your book. What prompted me to write to you was the incredibleincompleteness of your study guide and the incorrectness of the self testquestions.

For example: On the exam, I was bombarded with questionsrelating to TCP/IP, subnetting, supernetting, creating subnet masks andassigning subnet addresses, the IEEE 802.x standards, non-routableprotocols, etc. Your study guide makes no effort to cover these topics atall. Where I went into the exam feeling confident that I knew your book, Ifailed the exam.

After using your book for my third exam, I have hadenough. I have taken and passed (on the first attempt) the Administrationand Advanced Administration exams using your book, but each exam I tookasked questions about topics that weren't even mentioned in your book. Ihave grown tired of walking into the exam KNOWING that my preparation isincomplete due to my study guide.

I plan on posting this letter toAmazon.com in hopes that I can wave off people from purchasing thisbook.

I'd suggest that before you plan to release a book to help peoplestudy for an exam, try to make it cover ALL the topics covered in theexam.

Sincerely,

Greg Troyan I.S. Administrator ... Read more

From the author: The National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel has updated the definition of a pressure ulcer and the stages of pressure ulcers based on current research and expert opinion solicited from hundreds of clinicians, educators, and researchers across the country. The amount of anatomical tissue loss described with each stage has not changed. New definitions were drafted to achieve accuracy, clarity, succinctness, clinical utility, and discrimination between and among the definitions of other pressure ulcer stages and other types of wounds. Deep tissue injury was also added as a distinct pressure ulcer in this updated system.

From the author: The International Council of Nurses (2007) defines nursing research as a systemic inquiry that seeks to obtain new nursing knowledge for the benefit of patients, families, and communities and includes all aspects of health that are of interest to nursing including health promotion, disease prevention, and care during illness and recovery or towards a peaceful death. There is an increased amount of clinical research available to nurses and now we are challenged to utilize this knowledge to improve patient care. Just like Florence Nightingale, nurses today need to make observations, collect data, and use the analysis of that data to support and guide current nursing care.
