A medically proven program to prevent and reverse the DNA damage that causes aging

As we grow older, the genetic material in our bodies’ 100 trillion cells gets damaged. The result is that the body becomes less and less able to repair itself and we start to notice visible signs of aging, such as age spots, sagging skin, and aching joints. Now, for the first time ever, a team of leading anti-aging experts shows how to reverse aging on a genetic level–while ramping up the body’s self-repair capabilities. Based on 30 years of scientific research and 20 years of clinical practice, The Anti-Aging Solution delivers a simple five-step daily program that really works–including a step that’s specifically designed to rejuvenate skin. By following this uniquely effective program, which includes stress reduction, dietary changes, exercise, skin treatments, and supplements (including a breakthrough herbal derivative), anyone can reverse DNA damage, enhance DNA repair–and start to look younger, feel younger, and be younger.

Vincent Giampapa, MD (Montclair, NJ), a leading anti-aging authority, is cofounder of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and founder and President of the Giampapa Institute for Anti-Aging Medical Therapy. He regularly appears on national TV and lectures internationally. Ronald Pero, PhD (Sandgate, VT), is Professor of Microbiology at Sweden’s Lund University. He has also taught at Boston University and served as director of medical therapeutics at the Strang Medical Clinic in New York. Marcia Zimmerman, CN (Chico, CA), is a well-known nutrition author and consultant whose books include The ADD Nutrition Solution and Eat Your Colors. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This Book Is The Book Of All Books!
I bought this book 4 years ago, and let me tell you. I'm 35 years old and people still think I'm Nineteen and I get hit on by girls in High School. I have to constantly say do you know how old I am. I'll tell you this Doctor works with the Stars actor's, models, and singers he states that in his book. Now for the record when you look at a Star, what do you see, most of them look ten years younger then what they are, and before you even think it! All Stars don't get surgery true some do but not all of them.

Now listen up, this doctor shows you how to stay young the inexpensive way, most stars do get HGH injections which runs between $1500 to $2000 a month which is the best thing you can do for aging, it does have its side affects in which a person doesn't live to get really old. So if you can afford this amount a month, then go for it, if not, then you need this book, to keep yourself looking and feeling young, the inexpensive way. , and with no negative side affects.

Dr. Giampapa shows you how to deage the healthy way, not only do I look nineteen and I'm 35 years old. I do gymnastics, mountain bike, dirt bike, jet ski snowboard and breakdance which you have to be in really good shape to breakdance or you will break something, an yea, I out break sixteen year olds they can't keep up with me, I simply tell them to watch their diet, because a sixteen year old can be out of shape as well. So follow this book, and you'll be fine!

3-0 out of 5 stars Great Intro book --- Great book if your first of second the topic
I've read a lot of books and material on these topics. This books seems right on and well written, and I would recommend it to anyone starting out. But, it didn't grab me -- probably more due to having read more than enough on these topics and my interests being elsewhere.Once again, great book for getting started on taking responsibility for your own health.

2-0 out of 5 stars Just Another Book In This Genre
The book claims to help you:

1. Say goodbye to aching joints, sagging skin and fatigue
2. Improve the quality and function of the genetic material in your cells
3. Ramp up your body's self-repair functions
4. Increase your stamina, endurance and sex drive
5. Dramatically improve your resistance to disease, including cancers
6. Have more youthful, radiant skin

You don't need to be a cynic to be able to tell that the claims are all inflated. Sure, you'll see some improvement if you have been leading a very unhealthy lifestyle, but for those of us who are already exercising regularly and eating a relatively healthy diet, some of the tips on progressing further to "genetic repair" will sound a bit too good to be true.

In fact, most of the advice and recommendations given in the book are not very different from that found in many other books on nutrition and supplement. The authors just gave all the info a "DNA twist". I stopped reading the book a few chapters from the end when it begins to talk about hormonal supplementation and some glowing testimonial on the author's services. All "natural"? No side effects? How long have the subjects been followed up and how long have physicians really practised hormonal therapy on otherwise healthy individuals? The results may be real, but how safe is it for the rest of subject's life?

Sounds like another one of those practice-promoting books in this genre. Disappointing.

5-0 out of 5 stars I DO LOOK BETTER AND FEEL YOUNGER ALREADY!
This book is the "real" deal. It offers a very simple plan for reversing the negative effects of aging. I especially like the information on nutrition and DNA repair. I've starting using the recommendations for supplementing my genes and already feel younger and like I have more energy. I'm in my late 30's and people think I'm in my late 20's.Buy this book!Read it and then read it again this information will change your life--it did and continues to change mine for the better.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Anti-Ageing Solution
Finally---an anti-ageing book that really gets down to basics. The Anti-Ageing Solutionexplains what and why things are happening to us as we age. It is not just another "try this book" but a clear roadmap of the ageing process and how we can repair our own roads, as well as resources to to make the repairs. There are a lot of books out there on this subject and believe me I own quite a few. "5 simple steps" is what this book proclaims. I have put these five steps into play in my life and have simplified everything. My health has improved. An added bonus- my weight has dropped yet I no longer diet. It has allowed me to take a fresh look at "old age" and realize age is just a number. It is the quality of life that counts. At 58 I feel like a kid again. I am glad I had the good fortune to discover The Anti-Ageing Solution. ... Read more

IT’S JUST ANOTHER October day until Erin Vincent’s parents are hit by a speeding tow truck. Mom dies instantly. Dad dies one month later after doctors assure Erin that he’s going to make it. Erin and her teenaged sister, Tracy, are left to raise their baby brother, Trent—and each other. Their beloved uncles blow what little money they had, family “friends” disappoint, kids at school are jealous, and their grandparents threaten to take Trent away from them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Courtesy of Teens Read Too
In this heartbreaking yet uplifting memoir, Erin Vincent recounts the tragedy of losing both of her parents in a terrible car accident when she was fourteen. What makes the story so sad, at least for me, was that fact that her father, unlike her mother, was not killed instantly in the crash, but survived for a number of weeks before succumbing to his injuries. For me, this fact made Ms. Vincent's story even more difficult, as it felt like hope had left her family for good.

"They say God is a comfort to all those who mourn. How can you be a comfort to those you've made suffer? What manipulation! It's like having your wounds dressed by the person who hurt you...No, sorry, you're a bit late, God."

For Erin, it takes awhile to realize that wishing something bad would happen to your parents is not the same as killing them. It doesn't take long, though, to realize that her horrible extended family - her father's parents and her mother's wretched brothers - are up to no good. With only her older sister, Tracy, and Tracy's boyfriend, Chris, to watch our for Erin and her younger brother, Trent, things are not going to get easier in a hurry.

As life goes on - Erin returns to school, she watches as both her mother and father are buried, she goes on a trip with her theater group - she realizes that life cannot be categorized as either good or bad, but rather is a series of ups and downs, of highs and lows. As Erin leans on her best girlfriend, as the only true friends of her parents help out her beleaguered "family" when they need help, she learns that life does go on, whether you want it to or not.

The wonderful thing about GRIEF GIRL is that Ms. Vincent never comes across as pitiful, although it would be easy to pity a girl who lost both of her parents. Although technically an orphan, she never adopted that orphan attitude. And even though there were many times throughout her life in which both friends and family took advantage of her, Erin shows in the end the fighting spirit to reclaim what is hers - something that I'm sure would make her mother and father very, very proud.

This is a wonderful memoir I would recommend to anyone, but especially those who have faced their own losses. Ms. Vincent's enduring spirit of strength is to be admired.

Product Description
Vincent Shadow isn't particularly good at sports and is constantly being picked on by his classmates at Central Middle School. But it is Vincent's unusually creative mind that truly separates him from other kids his age.

Vincent's top secret attic lab is crammed with toy prototypes --from Liquid Superballs to Bullz-I Basketballs and Sonic Snorkelz--and he has a sketch book filled with drawings of toys he still wants to build. So when a chance encounter with an eccentric toy inventor offers him the opportunity to go from unknown weird kid to toy inventor extraordinaire, Vincent realizes that playtime is over: it's time to get serious about toys ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A very enjoyable read for me and my son
My 3rd grade son struggled to read it on his own.Probably should be a 4th grade plus reader. We read it together, I helped him with the words with which he struggled. Then he really got into the story. And so did I.Highly recommend this book.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Unusual Mind of Vincent Shadow
It's the age old story of the bullied, misunderstood kid with an evil step-mother who packs him stale sandwiches and brown bananas for lunch, who turns out to be an awesome inventor of fantastical and zany toys. Tim Kehoe, a toy inventor himself, has created a fast page-turner with a fun-loving and endearing main character in //The Unusual Mind of Vincent Shadow//.

Vincent has a "problem": he suffers from extreme headaches in which he is blinded and becomes very dizzy. Only, in these headaches he is also given the gift of a vision: he sees his next invention. The toy becomes very real and takes control in his mind. This is a secret only he and his mother know about, and now that she is no longer around Vincent must keep these ideas to himself.

Vincent has an amazing lab in the attic of his home, also a secret. But now that his dad has remarried, a monster of a woman with altogether different plans and three girls of her own, Vincent is plagued by isolation. Until (!), he lands himself in a toy invention contest and learns that being different is what makes life fun.

5-0 out of 5 stars Really fun!
What a fun book to read. The characters are all likeable and the story is fun. The book itself is really cool with the pull out toy inventions. For the price, it is well worth all the fun.

5-0 out of 5 stars Creative! Fun! Worth Reading
This is a must buy for young 4th or 5th graders and even a 6th grader.I gave it to a 5th grade relative who did not put it down for four hours. He is a nonreader but this book really caught his attention.I decided to read it and found it delightful. The author, a toy inventor, has written a wonderful, engaging, fun, book for young people especially great for boys. His humor and clever style of writing as he takes his young toy inventor on his adventures will delight your child.I talked to a teacher friend about it and she was using it in her classroom to encourage creative thinking in her students. The book'sclever cover where you can see into Vincent's attic and the notebook of inventions in the back cover all add to the books enjoyment. My 5th grader has now started his own notebook of ideas.I would highly recommend this book. ... "Never be squinting, and scowling, and examining the victuals, to see if you can discover a coal, a speck, or a hair; and if you do find one, take it out decently, and not make a great ado about it. For your honor's sake never make a mountain of a mole-hill."--An excerpt from the "Shakers' Manual of Good Manners." Modern-day readers will find amusement, as well as wisdom, in this charming, child-sized facsimile edition of the Shakers' 1844 "Juvenile Guide, or Manual of Good Manners," and many will treasure it as a fascinating glimpse into the lives of Shaker children in the nineteenth century. A foreword by the Shaker historian Flo Morse describes the vital role children played in Shaker communities. Celibate themselves, the Shakers hoped that the children they adopted into their midst would carry on the faith; they also valued their hard work and high spirits--as long as those spirits were well directed. Children were expected to be respectful to elders, to practice simplicity and thrift in all things, and to be clean and orderly. Nevertheless, the Shakers reared their adopted children with gentleness and kind humor; this book reveals the simple wisdom that is their lasting legacy. ... Read more
