The Patient Gift by Patty Howell
Leatrice "Lea" Novak has lost too many loved ones this year. With Christmas fast approaching, she begins hardening her heart in self preservation. Only Basil, her elderly black lab, is allowed into Lea's heart. Well, that is until Durham North's car gets stuck in the snow and he knocks on her door to use the phone. Basil decides it is up to him and the big man upstairs to bring this pair together; and in doing so, heal them both.

In Time for Christmas by Cheryl Alldredge
Over one thousand years ago, in Northumberland, Lord Gunnar said a prayer in the chapel for help and fortune. But a wench was not what he had in mind; especially one so unusual. Once Upon a Snowflake by Shelli Stevens

But when her car spins out during a blizzard in Snow River, Oregon, all plans come to a halt. There is no way Lilly can make the deadline to begin her new job as head chef for a wealthy family. Luckily, Logan and his sister, Mindy, were there when Lilly's car crashes into a tree. In exchange for a temporary place to live and repairs to her car, Lilly agrees to be the new cook in Logan's Bed & Breakfast.

Joy's Christmas Wishes by Gerri Bowen
Lord Captain Geoffrey DeBohun is a second son, a widow, and has four children; therefore, he did not believe Lady Emily could possibly choose him over his older brother, an earl.

Miracle and Mistletoe by Kimberly Grant
It is Christmas Eve and a blizzard rages outside. Yet inside the toast home, Marla Anders and Chance Yardley sit, trying to finish decorating their Christmas tree. The beautiful scene would be perfect for a gallery painting if not for the tension hovering over their heads. Marla is waiting for a phone call from her doctor's office. The results of her tests will decide her entire future.

The Christmas Wish by Rebecca Andrews
Six-year-old Kevin Connor is in line to see Santa when he spies a woman who is the mirror image of his mother, who died last year. When Kevin makes a quick dash toward her, his father, Ryan, goes after him. As Ryan gazes into Holly's face, he could almost believe she really was his late wife. As Holly St. Nick learns how hard the Christmas season is going to be for little Kevin, she agrees to spend a bit a time with the pair in hopes of gently helping Kevin understand that she is really NOT the lady he believes her to be.

All I Want for Christmas is a Hula Hoop...and a Mother by DeborahAnne MacGillivray
It is only three more days until Christmas and Kentucky residents are shopping non-stop. Five-year-old Allison Challenger's wish list is short, even though her father is wealthy. Most of all, she wishes for a kitty, a pony, a Hula Hoop, and a new mother. And this precocious angel has the perfect lady in mind to fill the position of that last wish; her new ballet teacher, Leslie Seaforth. Once Allison gets Leslie and her dad, Keon, to meet, Lady Fate takes over. The trio soon find themselves snowbound at Leslie's home in the countryside.

**** A full dozen of stories that will keep you smiling and happily humming carols even while you are being crushed in the shopping crowds by grumps. Once you finish this anthology, be sure to place it on your bookshelf or boxed among your decorations so you may reread this gem each December. ****

5-0 out of 5 stars Really expensive
I feel like I wasted my money on this book since we read the first 100 pages then started on out of book material. Since it was the most expensive book I have ever purchased I expected a little bit more use out of it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not What I Expected!
WARNING:THIS BOOK IS NOT WRITTEN BY WILLIAM D. WARREN, RENOUNDED HUMORIST AND AUTHOR OF HOW TO DIE: OR THE GOOD GATSBY.
I saw this book for sale, and even though it was $100.00 I thought, 1000 pages by William D. Warren, who also goes by Wm. Douglas Warren, I will buy that for $100.00.No, no.It was a tragic mistake. While I was hoping for outrageous comedy and a laugh a minute narratives, all I got was a book about case studies and stuff legal issues.I guess I should have been tipped off by the name, but Warren is known for his subtleties, (as well as his not so subtleties), so I thought maybe it was just some joke I didn't get.NOPE!If you want a book about law and stuff, buy this one, but if you want a good book, buy How to Die: or The Good Gatsby.

3-0 out of 5 stars Revised 9
The revised UCC has not been adopted by most states, and the Revised 9 is only adopted by less than 10 states to date.So depending on where you are from, this book may be either helpful or a bit frustrating. The previous buyer's review is missing this crucial bit of info.

1-0 out of 5 stars Pain, Pain, and More Pain
I assume you're buying this book becasue you are taking Secured Transactions.I'm sorry. This book is bad.All of the cases deal with old 9 not revised 9 which is usually the current law. You'll read a case- understand it and then they'll say it all changed when they passed revised 9.Prepare to be confused. If you are a professor please be kind, don't force your students to use this book.Any other book has to be better. ... Product Description
Strategic planning is vital to achieving success in any endeavor in life. Whether you are an enterpreneur, a corporate CEO, a colunteer for a community project, or trying to organize your personal life, it's important to have strategies in place that will help you succeed. I am really excited about what the authors in the book had to say. If I had not interviewed these outstanding, successful men and women I don't think the subject the talked about would have occurred to me. Who would have thought "reinventing diversity" or "the power of procrastination" would be success strategies? One of the authors in this chapter said that we are performing in an era where knowledge is power. He went on to say"I think the key is applying that knowledge with laser-like focus. This means ruthless prioritization on what needs to be accomplished in order to yeild the highest payoff in cultures of high demand." The chapters in this book will help you discover core issues that may be challenging you or keeping success just out of reach. I am sure that you will be able to use the information these authors have shared to empower your dreams and goals into reality. Remember success doesn't just happen-you make it happen. ... Product Description
This text looks at the potential benefits of concept and theory formation along dynamic, evolutionary and valuation for understanding economic processes. The book begins by examining instrumentalism, valuation and the process of valuation, arguing that to choose involves valuation and therefore participation in the valuation process. It then focuses on Coase's work on institutions and considers the implications for a variety of subjects including the theory of the firm, and the theory and policy of externalities. After a discussion by Warren Samuels of the concept of coercion, the authors then consider cost, including its definition and the role of structure, law and rights. Finally, Kennith Boulding's work on "The Image" is examined, arguing that definitions of reality and values derive in part, from language, especially images conveyed by it, which involves valuation. ... Excerpt: Josh Freese (born December 25, 1972) is an American session drummer and songwriter. He is a permanent member of A Perfect Circle, The Vandals, and Devo, having formerly played drums for Nine Inch Nails from late 2005 until late 2008, and for Guns N' Roses from mid-1998 to 2001. Freese has appeared on close to 300 records. He is currently performing live with both Devo and Weezer. Josh Freese was born in Orlando, Florida. His father conducted the Disneyland Band and his mother was a classical pianist. Freese began playing the drums when he was 8 years old. He started playing professionally at the age of 12 (in a primarily Top 40 band at Disneyland). The all-teenage band, Polo, was formed by Freese's father who was then entertainment director at the park as a way to promote the career of the young drummer. There he played electronic drums which led to an endorsement deal with the Simmons electronic drum company. There is an old Simmons commercial (directed by Mitch Brisker), featuring Freese on the additional content section of The Vandals' Live at the House of Blues DVD. At the age of 15, Freese left high school and started touring and making records, first with Dweezil Zappa and then with The Vandals. Freese has worked with many respected artists in the last 15 years, as a first call session drummer and sometimes as a temporary replacement. Josh has a younger brother Jason Freese who plays keyboards in Green Day, has also recorded and toured with the Goo Goo Dolls, Dr. Dre, Jewel, Lenny Kravitz, Liz Phair, Foxboro Hot Tubs, Joe Walsh, and Weezer. Not expected to contribute, Perkins was given an opportunity after both Nick Rimando and Doug Warren lost their starting positions. Perkins proved up to the task, and went on to start sixteen games for the team, posting a 1.62 goals against average. Although Perkins was performing well, the team suffered during his tenure, and he was replaced near the end of the season with Nick Rimando, who would also start for United throughout the playoffs.
