In April 1890, the Knapp family started a 25-day trip in a covered wagon to find and claim their land and their future. An interesting piece of Americana!
The American frontier always pushed westward--Not so, as you will find in this interesting piece of Americana, in which the Knapp family sets out for their pioneer adventure in Illinois, traveling eastward. It's fascinating to read of history that breaks misconceptions.

fun to read, wish there was more
I sat down and read this book over my lunch hour in three days.It's a fun read and I enjoyed the story line especially because you get a chance to know the characters and how they were feeling about the trip.I'm really hoping that, perhaps in a sequel, we can learn what happened when the family got to Illinois! ...
