The American Dream is attainable afterall!
This book is brimming with both enjoyable and saddening accounts of Arnold's life.We travel through his life beginning in Austria and follow him into his marriage.The information presented is very informative and entertaining, however the authors have found it necessary to include a lengthy synopsis for each and every one of Arnold's movies, making these sections rather boring.Reading about the subjects life is much more interesting than reading a lengthy synopsis of the movie the subject starred in. ... Arnold Rocks!
I have never laughed so hard at a book - the photo of Governor Arnold introducing "Casual Fridays" to Sacramento is worth the price alone!An unbelievably inspired concept, perfectly executed.Two thumbs way up.

Triumph of the Absurd
No one captures the absurdity of politics better than Andy Borowitz, and he has done it again with GOVERNOR ARNOLD.I have had this book on my desk for the past three months and have had it stolen about five times!Once people start reading it they can't put it down - and neither will you.Highly, highly recommended.

Borowitz at his best
I am a HUGE fan of Andy Borowitz from hs work in The New Yorker and also his website.Governor Arnold is a must-have for Borowitz fans.It's typical of his work - side-splittingly hilarious AND concise.It's a quick read, to be sure, but you'll read it again and again.(PS - I don't think Arnold has ever looked in better shape!!!)

You Don't Have To Be a Democrat
I have voted Republican my entire life, and even voted for Arnold, which is why my brother gave me this book (to poke fun at me).Well, I laughed and laughed and I have given it to many of my Republican friends.The combination of the funny pictures (especially the Conan era ones) and the captions is irresistible.

Tedious, Unfunny
Good political humorists write in such a way that readers will laugh, irrespective of their political affiliation.Michael Moore and PJ O'Rourke are examples of such writers.Unfortunately,Borowitz lacks the tact, wit, and sense of humor to write true political satire.His attempts at humor usually elicit groans unless you already agree with his shrill left-wing point of view, in which case you're only reading to reinforce your narrow point of view.Borowitz's humor is neither intelligent nor thought-provoking.If the book actually zeroed in on the Governor's shortcomings rather than reduce him to the simple-minded stereotypes that are common among the intellectually uninitiated Left, he might have actually had some fodder for political humor.The book is boring- a waste of time and money. ... Great read, great inspiration
I thought this book was an inspirational book on several levels. Both Ali and Schwarzenegger had the mindsets of champions before and after they became the best. This book shows them both in a softer light as they work out and train. My husband received this book for his birthday and he looks at it nightly to seek inspiration as to what can be achieved with determination.

He would have given it 5 stars if there had been more diverse photos of Schwarzenegger in different settings.
Overall he thought it was a creative look at two people who overcame impossible odds to stand out and change their lives.

This book is absolutely amazing.You expect wonderful images from Al Satterwhite, but the harmony and layout of this book create something all together sensational. The images themselves are stunning, warm-hearted and inspirational.Mr. Satterwhite juxtaposed the images perfectly, so that you see the similarities and differences between Muhammad Ali and Arnold Schwarzenegger, reminiscent of Robert Franks "The Americans".The book captures the spirit of both men, and one gets caught up and inspired by their personalities captured by Satterwhite.This book is a definite must for any collection.

I got raped!
Man, I could pull a better book out of my ass!This book must be standard in the grade 1 ciriculum.It reminded me of a Dr. Suess book except it sucked way worse (is that possible?), there are no words that contain more than 4 letters and this review contains far more information than that book.I mean, Jesus was that bad.I haven't been bamboozled out of my money like this since the last time I was at the fair.Or was that a strip club?If your a slobbering idiot with too much money, buy this book.If you don't want to piss away your hard earned cabbage, buy another book.

Good book
This was a good book that was easy to read with lots of pictures. I reallyliked learning about Arnold and his life and family, especially that hecame from a poor family and worked really hard to become famous.

This book was fabulous for just reading it for fun, but if your doing a book report or a report, I wouldn't recommend it.The copyright date is 1993 and he doesn't become president til much later and Arnold recently had open heart surgery and thats not included.Otherwise, this is an entertaining book and I would give it a 4 star. ...
