Surprises At Every Turn
The Storm Guardians continues the Rising Dawn Saga begun in book one The Exodus Gate.After the ending to The Exodus Gate I was excited to dive into Book Two and Stephen Zimmer did not disappoint.A huge battle in the spirit world with multi-headed dragons, demon dogs, avatars, gargoyles and many other fantastic creatures begins the book in fine Tolken fashion.Then the Earthly battle is heating up as the evil of the Convergence is brought closer to reality and the good An-ki, who offer up a huge surprise along with many others, move into their new life in the human's world.

Zimmer seamlessly weaves several different character story lines into a page turning epic urban fantasy adventure that I was so glad to be a part of.I'm looking forward to reading book three in the saga when it comes out. ... Read more

Microserfs is the best audiobook of all time!
This was the first audiobook I bought and it's still my favorite. I had read the book and was intrigued when I saw that Matthew Perry was reading the audio version. I bought it and listened to the cassette tapes on my drive up to Whistler and finished it on the drive down. Loved it! It is witty, charming and made me and everyone else in the car laugh out loud.

I wish they would release a CD version. Until then, I am hanging on to my original cassette tapes!

Like computer software one bug in this recording spoiled the whole thing.
In the second half of the book, the characters relocate to Silicon Valley. They make many comments about it. Sadly, I was unable to listen to this because Matthew Perry consistently says "Silicone Valley" instead, which is something else entirely. As a consequence, I abandoned the book. ... Read more
