Bill Nye and Mark Twain
Bill Nye is almost forgotten, but in the mid 1800's he was a well-known humorist, newspaper columnist and lecturer. His wit is often subtle as he takes on subjects that parody Queen Victoria, flying machines and even Spartacus (well before the movie came out!) The selections are little snippets of rwo to three pages but very diverse and very witty. If you like Mark Twain, you'll likely enjoy this book. ... Read more

Book is in very good shape, spine is good and tight, no loose pages, pages are clean, streight, no rips, tears or markings, No markings in book, illistrated thoughout by F. Opper, very minor wear on spine and corners on binding, good solid book with sligh and I mean very slight yellowing, book was well preserved. page edges are smooth but dusty, no dust jacket as it came. ...
