The lowdown on the toughest, sexiest, and beardiest man to ever stalk the earth

Since its emergence from the bowels of the internet, the Chuck Norris Fact has roundhouse kicked its way into the world’s consciousness with all the vim and verve of its namesake. Singing the praises of his unequaled toughness, his mighty kicking feet, his indestructible beard, his frightening virility, and his ability to stop time by thinking about pineapples, The Truth About Chuck Norris is the one book brave enough to go behind the beard and reveal the real Chuck.

Ian Spector, webmaster of the site which started the meme and survivor of a real-life encounter with Chuck himself, has selected the 400 most kick-ass facts from his library of thousands, as well as illustrations as awesome as the man himself. This death-defying volume includes such awe-inspiring observations as:
• A cobra once bit Chuck Norris’s leg. After five days of excruciating pain, the cobra died.
• Chuck Norris can charge a cell phone by rubbing it against his beard.
• When an episode of “Walker, Texas Ranger” aired in France, the French surrendered to Chuck Norris just to be on the safe side.

• Chuck Norris was the first person to tame a dinosaur.
• Chuck Norris once visited The Virgin Islands. Afterward, they were renamed The Islands.
• Every piece of furniture in Chuck Norris’s house is a Total Gym.

A must-have paean to the archetypical American male and a bible of all things Chuck, The Truth About Chuck Norris is easily the most important book of all time. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Chuck Norris gets his cake and eats it too
This book is incredible and incredibly funny.Only if you grew up watching Chuck Norris movies and know how bad his acting really was in those movies can you really appreciate this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Funny
This book is too hilarious. I didn't know it was possible to make that many jokes about Chuck Norris. I choose a random joke every day and text it to my friends. It's sure to give you some good laughs.

5-0 out of 5 stars Chuck Norris
Although I haven't had a chance to read this book yet , I know it will be great because Chuck is a great guy. He is one of the true patriots in our great country. I get his email newsletters and they are always great , and we also watch his TV show "Walker , Texas Ranger" although we know it is just a program we like to watch it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Pleanty of inappropriate material
My teenager son loves Chuck Norris lines and occasionally shares them with the rest of us.Luckily I previewed the 1st couple of pages, the use of the F*** word is totally inappropriate. The random collection of one liners is on the surface great until you cross the line.

1-0 out of 5 stars Why was this published???
This is one of the most worthless pieces of garbage ever published.Regardless of the target of the "humor", it is vulgar, tasteless and completely lacking in any taste or literary value. My biggest regret is that I will never get the minute I spent reading it back. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great gift
Got the signed copy for a friend's birthday and it was a total hit at the dinner party!! For a fun group gift, write your own "Chuck Norris" style humor about your friend inside.

5-0 out of 5 stars lots of fun
A good book to share when nothing else is going on. Sometimes raucus. PG

5-0 out of 5 stars Chuck Norris Threatened to Kill Me if I Only Gave This 4 Stars
If you appreciate wild, satirical humor, you'll love this 163 page tribute Ian Spector provides for macho-man Chuck Norris. If you don't mind appearing like a raving lunatic, go ahead and read this in a public place.I only paused for a few moments about halfway through the book, before resuming my uncontrollable laughter.

Needless to say, if you're looking for some silly Chuck Norris-related "facts", you've come to the right place!

4-0 out of 5 stars It was funny
While this book contained quite a few old chuck norris facts, some of the newer ones were hilarious. I was laughing loudly once I read one of the more funny ones such as, "Chuck Norris once beat an orphan to death with the body of another orphan." It has 3 chuck norris facts on each page. It was good light reading between more intensive books.

4-0 out of 5 stars Ok, You Made Me Laugh
Ian Spector sounds like a walking oxymoron: a graduate of Brown University where he studied neuroscience and edited the campus humor magazine... Doesn't seem right somehow. However, this isn't my first neuroscience party.

Michael Graziano, Prof. of Neuroscience at Princeton and author of The Love Song Monkey has already proven that just because you study the brain doesn't mean you can't have a sense of humor--his alter ego is children's book author and giant, hairy orangutan B.B. Wurge.

Spector started with the creation of Chuck Norris Facts website, going on to write The Truth About Chuck Norris, resulting in a resurgence of all things Chuck. Next came Chuck Norris Vs. Mr. T and now Spector has added Chuck Norris Cannot Be Stopped: 400 All-New Facts About the Man Who Knows Neither Fear Nor Mercy to round out the "thrillogy".

Admittedly, I am not a Chuck Norris fan and the book reminded me of the Jack Bauer websites and emails that were making the rounds. Despite who was "first" in creating these sites, I have to give props just for the thought and time that went into them.

Due to my aforementioned indifference to Chuck Norris, I was going to pass on this book, but decided to give it a quick glance; and ended up sitting in my office laughing like an idiot. Is the book immature? Yes. Does it cross the line at times? Probably. Is it funny? Absolutely.

Product Description
In November 2007, Gotham Books unleashed The Truth about Chuck Norris upon the world and changed publishing forever. Containing 400 farcical facts about pop culture icon Chuck Norris, the book burned through thirteen printings, roundhouse kicked the New York Times bestseller list, and left readers delighted (and a little bit terrified)....

Now Ian Spector has returned to his voluminous vault to bring readers 200 new Chuck Norris facts alongside 200 facts about his longtime antagonist Mr. T, in a battle that pits foot against fist, beard against mohawk, and Delta Force against A-Team. Included in this fearsome tome are such startling observations as:

• There is nothing to fear but fear itself, and fear itself fears Chuck Norris.
• King Kong once challenged Godzilla to an arm-wrestling match. Mr. T won.
• The reason newborn babies cry is because they know they have just entered a world with Chuck Norris.
• The last man to make eye contact with Mr. T was Stevie Wonder.
• Chuck Norris is a man’s man’s man.
• Mr. T once beat a man to death with his own corpse.

A hilarious tribute to two of the greatest humans who have ever lived, Chuck Norris vs Mr. T is the one book that can finally reveal what happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Hilarity Continues
As with the original book that Ian Spector released to our grabby, grabby hands, Chuck Norris vs. Mr. T is filled with hilarity and wit.Chuck Norris facts simply don't get old, and you'll find yourself wanting to read just...one...more... before you put it down. Can't go wrong!

4-0 out of 5 stars For The Non-Book Reader
Bought this for someone who refuses to read a Real book.Apparently too much commitment involved. But this was ideal, since he actually read it.Am I creative or what?Oh, and if this is tacky, I don't care: I read it first (before gifting it) and it was amusing, light-hearted reading that occasionally made me laugh out loud.

1-0 out of 5 stars Takes the Chuck Norris Phenomenon to a new low
I purchased this book for my oldest son, and before wrapping it for him, I read through some of the book. I gave it to him, but could not in good conscience allow him to keep it. Every single page has at least one "fact" that is completely inappropriate, and sacrifices humor for the sake of low-brow, dirty attempts at comedy. Instead of being creative and funny, as many of the Norris/Mr. T facts have been, this book takes every chance to mention masturbation, sex, male genitalia, more sex, and the list goes on. In discussion with my wife, we thought about simply marking out particular portions that the boy shouldn't see, but determined that there was just too much to be expurgated. I realize some people enjoy that type of humor, but there was nothing in the product description at all that stated there was offensive or adult material in this book, and that disappoints me as well. Eight of the worst dollars I've ever spent, and it currently sits in my garbage can.

5-0 out of 5 stars no way out
It is not you who wants to read the book, it is the book which makes you read it!

4-0 out of 5 stars Cover your eyes, or you could be blinded by awesome
Deciding who is more awesome between Chuck Norris and Mr. T is like taking sides between an orangutan in a robot suit wielding a machete and a T-Rex on a Skidoo with a lance.Either way you choose, the decision is right. That's what this book is about, two unstoppable forces meeting up in a random mish-mash of facts about their lives, their supreme dominance over all others, and the singularity that would occur if they simultaneously wandered into the same building at the same time.Don't believe me?Here are a few of the facts that might convince you of how incredibly lucky you are not to have angered either of these men:

On average, there are over a thousand items in a room - including the room itself - with which that Mr. T can kill you. He's so virile that each tablet of Viagra requires a drop of Mr. T's sweat for functionality purposes. Not only that, but one time he killed a ninja, and during the fight he got two of his fingers cut off. These two fingers are now Gary Coleman and Webster. And despite this problem, he can STILL count to ten left-handed!Amazing.

As for Chuck Norris, he takes showers by riding a Grizzly Bear through automatic car washes, can regularly beat a brick wall in tennis, Two and a Half Men was originally just his biographical story, and every time he tries to donate sperm the receptionist gets pregnant.Which is kind of bad news for her, because Chuck Norris has 189 STDs, six of which are found only in sharks.Don't worry though, he can do the research. While he may not have a computer, he does have a basement full of Asian kids who memorize numbers all day.

At first you'll be amazed and laugh at all they can do.Unfortunately, the 400 facts come almost as fast as a Chuck Norris roundhouse.Luckily, however, the laughs last forever, like the shine on Mr. T's gold. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellant
This book is fantastic.Could not put it down until I was finished.Well written, funny, exciting, an all around good read.

4-0 out of 5 stars (RAW Rating 3.5) Justice rides again
A THREAT TO JUSTICE picks up after the Civil War.Ezra Justice and his elite group, who served as special operations soldiers, have parted company and are back living their pre-war lives. However, when there is a need to combat armed resistances against President Grant and his efforts to reconstruct America, Justice must call the group together and saddle up.Justice's orders from General Sherman were simple; reunite his elite soldiers to covertly fight the Confederacy.

The American West was a wild frontier and dangerous outlaws pursued unscrupulous dreams of fortune. As everyone took the law into their own hands, the President was hard-pressed to get control. The Justice Riders became unsung heroes who ventured West to bring order and justice to the adventure-filled quest of prospectors and South to thwart the vicious acts of the Klan and rebel infantrymen. For every good there must be an opposing evil and the nemesis for the 'Justice Riders' is a different band of soldiers called the 'Death Raiders'. The battle of law and order suddenly becomes deadlier and far more personal.

The name Chuck Norris immediately invokes images of Walker, Texas Ranger policing the Texas plains. With that image in mind as you turn the pages of A THREAT TO JUSTICE, the second Old West novel from Chuck Norris and friends, you should expect to be charmed. This is an action-packed adventure when the country was untamed and uncensored.Mr. Norris and the contributing authors sprinkle elements of faith, romance and excitement throughout the pages.

5-0 out of 5 stars Surprising Depth
Norris points out that the goal of any martial art is to bring you closer to yourself, to help you find the way to enlightenment - drawing the parallel relationship between martial arts training and Zen. The term "zen" comes by way of China's "ch'an" from the Sanskrit word "dhyana," meaning concentration or focus. Ancient Zen became associated with developing intuition as the most direct path to Truth or Self-recognition, which Norris illustrates as applying to the martial arts as well. Quoting Confucius ("He who conquers himself is the greatest warrior"), he defines conquering yourself as recognizing something greater than your personal self. For the neophyte to the overly-sophisticated seeker, Norris provides a wealth of practical wisdom in this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Chuck Norris for...
I bought this book after it was recommended to me not knowing what to think. Wow this book had a ton of information but was still written simply. In a nutshell Chuck talks about what it has taken for him over his own lifetime to learn different disciplines of martial arts. In this book Chuck also talks about Qi energy and how he has used it. Overall this is a great read for someone who is interested in Chucks story, his disciplines or just becoming a better person.

3-0 out of 5 stars Okay book but a little heavy on the martial arts and light on advice
I love Chuck Norris and think he is one great human being and American. So I buy everything he writes, regardless. On this one I read and there is some good stuff I got but overall for me it is heavy on the martial arts history and the Author's history in martial arts so it was a little slow and dragged on for me. Okay book, didnt think it was great.

5-0 out of 5 stars Getting to Know Chuck
My wife handed me Against All Odds one day to read.I said that I was already reading two or three other things but since I really like autobiographies I started to check it out.It was so good that I could hardly put it down and actually finished reading it before the other two or three I had already started!I was somewhat knowledgeable of Chuck Norris mainly through tv and movies. This autobiography really brought Mr. Norris to life however. It was as if he were actually talking to you in a personal way.The makeup of the text actually reads as if he is relating his story to you, sort of the old storyteller type of format.I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes autobiographys or is interested in finding out more about Chuck Norris. It's an easy read and very interesting.

5-0 out of 5 stars I read it straight through to the end.
I get bored with books very quickly. Usually I have to come back time after time to get myself to become interested in finishing a book. This one caught my attention and kept it all the way to the end. I picked up three books from the library after finishing it. I had my usual difficulties getting into all of them. I ended up starting The Secret of Inner Strength again. I'm returning the three library books unfinished today. I have great respect for Chuck Norris. Truly an American hero.

4-0 out of 5 stars He Just Keeps on Ticking - or Kicking!
In my book, Chuck Norris is literally on a par with John Wayne and Ronald Reagan. He is the real McCoy.He trains hard, walks the walk and teaches rest of us how we might go about finding our inner strength.

Chuck shows us in his book how incredible discipline, determination and hard work really can pay off. He comes across very American, very genuine and very inspiring in this autobiographical, inspiration.Chuck Norris's toughness is not so much on the exterior through tough actions, but on the interior through the steely resolve of his character and drive.

What separates Chuck Norris from the rest of the world is his amazing drive and committment to excellence. He personifies martial arts. There's only so much you can say - the example of his life says the rest!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Shy Man With Inner Strength of Iron
I have seen Chuck Norris interviewed on several TV shows and he comes across as a very soft spoken shy man, yet you can tell he has a very powerful inner strength. In his career he has helped countless young people who doubted themselves to pick themselves up from despair and a feeling of uselessness and to believe in themselves and to do something great with their lives. He cares for his fellow man and has given of himself when he didn't have to.This book allows you to see inside his heart and to see and feel the struggles he has gone through and conquered.Chuck Norris is a Winner and so is this book.It is definitely a must read.Someone should do a movie on his life!He started at the bottom (he failed his first black belt test) and came out on top.

4-0 out of 5 stars I came away with More Respect for the man...
I like action movies, and TV. Chuck Norris is reliable and delivers in his films. But this book reveals a depth of character that seems to be depressiongly rare in the entertainment business.

In the end, Mr. Norris is an optimist.

He thinks that things will eventually work out OK.
He thinks that people can overcome adversity.
H thinks that people can succeed if they really apply thmeselves.

But he notes that success is rarely easy. Persistence and attitude are everything, and that strong character is essential. What are the elements of a strong character? According to Chuck Norris, they include the same qualities that The Boy Scouts and other institutions which claim to build character stress: Honesty, bravery, humility, humor, loyalty, commitment to truth, learning, duty, assissting others, etc.

If this book has a cental falw, it is the long (and often tedious) sections detailing some of Mr. Norris' films. But woven in wiht the narratives are some excellent insights into the value of strong character.

In the value free world of entertainment and media, Chuck Norris is not afraid or ashamed to state that "right" and "wrong" are valid and applicable concepts. He gives several concreate examples to express his life philosophy and the validity thereof. Being didactic and judgemental are often frowned upon in media, entertainment, and publishing. But Norris makes a case 9with anecdotes and examples) that sound judgements premised or rooted upon well-formed values, are a positive thing.

In the end, a portrait emerges of a man shaped by his values, not his past. And Chuck Norris had a very hard start in life. But he decided that he would not fall into despair; instead, he would rise above expectations, and succeed.

I can recommend this book for many reasons. THe two main reasons I do so are that it dispels the cyncial belief that honesty and good values are no longer worth anything. And in the end, Chuck Norris' life story serves as an inspirational motivator; to go out and make something of oneself.

This is a very positive book, and one I highly recommend.

4-0 out of 5 stars A "Not-So-Common" Common Man's Journey!
Martial arts and film buffs will enjoy this book, which is a straightforward autobiography (written with the assistance of Joe Hyams).Be forwarned that this book was published in 1988 (at least my hardcover version), so the filmography doesn't cover his more recent works.

Norris describes his experiences from childhood, to the time spent in the armed forces, where he originally took up the matrial art of Tang Soo Do under Jae-chul Shin (who today runs the World Tang Soo Do Association).

This volume describes Norris's tournament days, including quite a bit about his competition experiences. There is also information about his family life, his entry into film making during his time as a karate (Tang Soo Do) instructor, and his experiences as a self-made actor in Hollywood.Throughout, he is honest as he describes his triumphs and mistakes.

Chuck Norris is the quintessential all-American guy who worked his tail off, took a big gamble, and came out on top. This book describes his journey from average joe, to martial arts instructor, to professional film star. This book includes two sections of photographs which show Norris from childhood, with family, in the services, in karate competition, and during the filming of his movies. ... Product Description

The New York Times best seller now available in a trade paper edition!

Chuck Norris says, "Black Belt Patriotism is my critique of what is destroying our country, and offers my solutions for rebuilding America and restoring the American dream. It's 'black belt' in the sense that it is strong, resolute and to the point, like a roundhouse kick. It's 'patriotic' in the sense that it recaptures the vision of America's Founding Fathers. I wrote this book in the hope that future generations of Americans can continue to enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness . . . .

"It doesn't take many people to foster a revolution. Jesus did it with twelve disciples. George Washington did it with his few suffering troops at Valley Forge. And we can do it today. We can set a new direction for America with people like you and me, who through our efforts in our communities and at the ballot box and in our personal lives can make this country everything it should be.”

4-0 out of 5 stars Black Belt Patriotism
It felt like a one way conversation w/ Chuck Norris. He presents his ideas in a conversational style, while telling details of his life.

There is northing new in this book, but the ideas are important.

5-0 out of 5 stars The truth
Chuck Norris seems to hit the truth on the head.It shows the hypocrisy going on in this country and how dangerous the government can become.

5-0 out of 5 stars Black Belt Patriotism
What a great book, I had no idea Chuck Norris wrote so well. Book was in perfect condition and on time.

2-0 out of 5 stars Does Karate and the Christian right go hand in hand?
Typical Christian rightwing screed. If you read one, you've basically read them all. Norris basically lies or distorts or is just plain ignorant of basic American facts. One, prayer was never taken out of the schools. Organized/state sponsored prayer. One of the biggest myths of the Christian right is that prayer was banned by "evil" atheists. No, it wasn't. Judges (most of them who are Christians by the way) have stated that students can pray but that the government can't use its' power to pressure (or to use a softer word), encourage students to engage in religious activity. Second, the Danbury Letter which was written by Thomas Jeffersonwas not just a statement that the government couldn't endorse or create one secretarian Christian denomination. I mean, what kind of wall is just one directional anyway? Jefferson along with Madison were not atheists of course but they did not have the beliefs of Church Norris or others on the Christian right. They were men of the Enlightenment. Deists.

Though not as secular as I, they would strongly disagree with much of the views of Norris. Norris also wants worries about those "liberals" in California forcing their liberal ways against those good, God fearing folks in Alaska. See, the Christian right is obsessed with left leaning states like California forcing people in Alabama to listen to Barbara Streisand albums and watch old episodes of "Will and Grace". Look, one vote equals one vote. People in California aren't any lesser citizens then people in Wyoming. We have a Bill of Rights and a court system to ensure that the majority does not trample and violate the rights of the minority. But, ironically, it is the Christian right (and I am sure Norris has done this many times) who decry the courts when they protect the minority from the majority! Chuck got famous because he is one of the best martial arts experts in the world, but alas just because you are a top expert in martial arts does not mean you are a great scholar.

5-0 out of 5 stars Region 2 in Widescreen Format
This DVD is available in widescreen format in Region 2 via Amazon.co.Uk. Quality is good.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Force brought the machismo 8.5/10
Delta Force from 1986 is a movie loosely based off of a Plane hijacking going from Athens Greece Rome in the summer of 1985. It stars Lee Marvin as Colonel Nick Alexander which this would be Lee Marvin's last film & of course starring Chuck Norris as Major Scott McCoy. Plot basically is what I said at the begging you have Chuck Norris kicking a lot of Fundamentalists @***s. There's Jewish people that are being held by The Terrorists they were taken off the plane along with 2 guys that are in the Navy basically The Delta Force has to find thembasically that's the plot as a whole straight forward 1st half is nicely done 2nd half kicks @**. Why did they have to use the same music over & over again? I'am aware of the sequels I've only seen 2 it's a decent sequel. I got my copy for $5 at Wal Mart you should get it or if it's on TV give it a watch it's a great movie 1st half is great 2nd half lots of action & fun.

1-0 out of 5 stars Can I give it less than one star?
Do you love Chuck Norris kicking-butt action movies? Then steer clear of this snooze fest.In the first 30 seconds, a chopper mysterious bursts into flames. That's it for action until an hour later when a truck bursts into flames moments after Chuck Norris runs out from behind it.Thrilling? no.Chuck Norris is barely even this movie! Why is he on the cover?Chuck Norris and the other commandos are in the first 10 minutes, then don't get any screen time until over an hour later. I couldn't tell you what happens after that because I gave up and went to bed.

If you like slow drawn out terrorists-hijacking-a-plane flicks, then you might be able to watch this through to the end.I'd rather get some sleep.

Overall, BORING.

4-0 out of 5 stars You Gotta Love this FIlm
Okay, I am not blind to the defects of this movie -- Lee Marvin has to be the oldest Colonel in the history of the U.S. Army -- and it is the hijacked American Airlines flight done right (the murder of the Navy diver actually happened). It is a wave the flag whoop-ass film with Chuck beating the crap out of terrorists.Take it on that level and you'll be entertained.Originally Charles Bronson was slated to play the Marvin role. Two Chucks, could the world survive such an event I ask you?Watch it back to back with NAVY SEALS for Islamic terrorists get a beating double bill.

2-0 out of 5 stars Thin as a Kmart carboard
This is an action/war movie originally released in 1986. This DVD contains the original theatrical trailer along with Spanish and French subtitles.

Basically aside from having the iconic Chuck Norris along with Lee Marvin, this movie is thin without much of a story and cookie-cutter characters. The action scenes weren't bad but become repetitious after awhile.

One amusing blooper was towards the end when Lee Marvin picked up the reciever of his cool 80's "porta-phone" and began barking out orders before the reciever even reached his mouth. If you are an action-hound then add another star, otherwise it's just some mindless explosions and not much else. ... Read more

Millions of people around the world know Chuck Norris as the star of more than 20 motion pictures, including "Delta Force," "Missing in Action," and "Return of the Dragon."Millions more know him as amartial arts expert, the only man in the Western Hemisphere to hold an 8th degree Black Belt Grand Masterin Tae Kwon Do. And then there are others who know him from his eight seasons on CBS’s longest runningseries, "Walker, Texas Ranger."

What many don't know is that Chuck Norris is a sincere Christian—a man whose faith plays a role ineverything he does.Against All Odds is an inspirational story of how Norris overcame abject poverty fromchildhood, the effects of his father’s alcoholism and desertion of the family, and his own shyness and lack ofstrength and ability early in his life. We received the book "Against all Odds" in a timely fashion and my son who rarely reads is reading this book.Thank for your great service.

4-0 out of 5 stars Another deadly blow at social engineering
Chuck Norris is only a few years younger than me and spent much of his childhood only a few miles down the road from where my wife grew up. I spent my younger days a 100 miles up the road but conditions weren't much different from one oil patch town to another.I know his younger years very well.
There is much truth in the title. Odds were not good for any youngster in a bottom of the lower middle class family and Norris faced multiple shares of terrible odds. The notion that "all men are created equal" has always been BS. No amount of education, training and dedication could ever put me in the same class as Chuck Norris, John Force, Ed Roth, or Elvis. BUT!!! Carlos kept exploring until he found his place then went for it with sincerity and dedication.
I, and most of the people I knew as a kid, did much the same but with various levels of dedication and end result. Some of us did extremely well. None of us wound up on welfare.
There are many messages from this book but the most important are; Self-worth cannot be taught, it must be earned. We are each responsible for what we become. "Victims" never become "champions."
In the end, it is up to us.

5-0 out of 5 stars A BlackBelt of a Book
I read this book to my children(11, 9, 6 years of age)and they looked forward to every reading session. The book illustrates that even though we all have our flaws with faith in Christ we can positively influence the world (atleast the world around us).An excellent book!

5-0 out of 5 stars Inspiring
Mr. Norris is inspiring as the first time you climb a 14,000 foot peak in the Colorado Rockies and view the magnificent landscape below; truly awesome.
Against All Odds glimpses into the life of Chuck Norris and shows you a man of deep faith in Jesus Christ, a man who is a disciplined fighter, and a humble celebrity.I believe anyone who reads this book will find themselves inspired to live bigger, and more humbly.
I am humbled to acknowledge him in my first novel, Dean Ransom, Restored.

4-0 out of 5 stars Chuck Norris, a hard working American hero
Against All Odds is a short read but very enjoyable.I can relate to some of the experiences in his life. His love for family and his belief in God was touching and left me with a feeling of personally knowing him.His is down to earth, a caring man of virtue. If you have enjoyed his movies, TV series or followed his martial arts career then this is a must read book. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Exactly What You Expect From Chuck Norris
With all the junk out there in movies, tv, and print, it's nice to know that someone is still willing to put out a product that the entire family could read. This book accomplishes that. It's an easy read, with relevant information so the reader can understand the perspective the main characters are living. But not too much background information... you know, so much that it puts you to sleep. At times it's a bit over the top, but I'll take that where good is simply trying to overcome evil anytime. Thank you to Chuck, Ken, Aaron, and Tim for a wonderful book. Thank you for your Christian references of faith, hope, love, and doing what is right. I already have book two, and certainly hope book three will be forthcoming.

5-0 out of 5 stars finished in less than a day
I bought this book as a gift for my dad who loves Westerns and likes to read.It was great to find one that was interesting, yet I didn't have to worry about the language it contained. My dad got it one evening and had finished it by noon the next day!I ordered the sequel for his birthday!

5-0 out of 5 stars this is a 5 star novel not a 3 1/2 like you are giving it. I hope that the Norris's write more great novels. Chuck Norris and hi
Chuck Norris and his brother Aaron are great authors. The books that I have had and read are 5 star; its hard for me to put the books down until I have read the whole book. Buy or go to the library and get the books that they written and read them;you won't be disappointed.

2-0 out of 5 stars Color without development
"The Justice Riders" succeeds in its efforts to create colorful characters and exciting action scenes. The book could be interesting, but it fails badly in the area of character development. Ezra Justice and his motley band of raiders fail at various levels to seem solidly grounded in reality. They, of course, take themselves seriously, but some readers may struggle to believe that such people truly exist anywhere in the world. Ezra is intended to develop spiritually during the book's course yet fails miserably in that area. Yes, Ezra learns a few lessons, but generally by being suddenly told, not through the natural progression of the book's plot. An additional concern for some readers, especially Southerners and those who strongly believe in the rules of just warfare, is that, while Ezra briefly questions the consequences of Sherman's March to the Sea, his concern is the bitterness it might cause, not that plunder and arson are war crimes, committed by war criminals. At any rate, readers who appreciate high-quality literature may want to avoid this book. Though in different hands it might have potential, "The Justice Riders" as it is reads like a dime novel.

1-0 out of 5 stars I wish I could give it zero stars
This book is, simply put, a crime against humanity. It's very offensive. An Indian that shoots arrows while everyone else has machine guns?An Irishman that drinks and a proper British sharpshooter? The stereotyping is ridiculous.
Aside from that, the writing is just terrible. There were four people credited with writing this thing and not one them said "Wait a minute, this is terrible"?
I suppose if you have no taste in literature whatsoever and like racism, this might be an okay book. ... Read more
