Devon Cream by Jet Mykles
I will not make this a rule, but usually Jet Mykles' characters are always paired with a very self-conscious man and another one that is cute, funny, maybe straight, or at least he believes so (Heaven, Faith...). In Devon Cream I found again that pair, but with some interesting differences.

Steven should be the self-conscious gay man, the one who has everything clear in his life. But Steven is also the mother-hen of the story, the man who can't help himself to help everyone around him, from feeding neighbors to collecting stray cats. Steven is a really nice man, and even if he is alone since eight months, he is not the type of man who I see alone for a long time. He is so nice and generous, that sooner or later someone will snatch him away. So Steven is not the male version of a spinster, he is not in desperate need of love, his love towards Devon is not as it was his last chance to happiness, and for this reason I read it as more sincere.

Devon is the young boy who moved upstair Steven's apartment. Devon is handsome, physically he is also more imposing than Steven, tall and muscular, but he has those puppy eyes that practically melt Steven's resistance. Devon is not used to live alone, he was kicked out from his parents house since he failed college, and now he has to take care of himself, a task that at first he is obviously not ready for. And so Steven starts to take care of him, and yes, maybe he exaggerates in doing so since he is infatuated of Devon. But the things are clear between them till the first day (thanks to his noisy other neighbor Patty): Steven is gay and instead Devon is straight, so no way that Steven could have his way with Devon.

Said that, I don't believe that this story could be classified as a 100% "gay for you" one; there is not tortured decision in Devon, not an almost painful realization... Devon is only really young, and he hasn't had any chance to "experiment", so he is really a "virgin" to love in absolute, both male than female (even if he is not "really" a virgin, mind you). Jet Mykles is really good in planning Devon's slow but sure path towards his adult life, and along the path we see Devon's changes: they are both physical (he blushes less, and he acquires a "feral" look, from puppy to wolf) than behavioral (he starts to do things before people tell him to do so).

Steven didn't set up a plan to seduce Devon, I really think his truly idea was to help a boy in need, but it's like putting a match near the straw, at the first spark the fire is uncontrollable. What I like of Steven is that he didn't hide his feelings, or at least he didn't do that to whom has eyes to see (since maybe, as I said, Devon is too young to read the signs); Steven likes Devon, and he almost accepts his caretaker task as a torment of Tantalus, having near something you can't reach. On the other side, there is no malice in Devon, he didn't parade himself around Steven to tease him, even if he parades and a lot!

This story is a funny sexy romp, the sex is good and just the right dose, Devon has the right dose of cuteness without being a female in a male body and Steven is a believable gay man without being flamboyant. Nice contrast in Devon being the pretty thing of the couple without having the physique du role, he is the taller and stronger in the couple.

Devon's Cream
Steven is a thirty-one year old cook with a penchant for helping people.When he meets a new tenant in his building, cute twenty-two year old Devon, he can't resist helping the younger man out.He's very much attracted to Devon, but since Devon's a friend, years younger, and straight, tells himself nothing will ever come of it.Is Devon only taking advantage of his generosity, or is something more at work?

Devon Cream is a cute, hot little tale of unexpected love.Generous, caring Steven is a very sympathetic character, and I couldn't help but like clueless but eager-to-please Devon.As always in a Jet Mykles work, the love scenes are hot and there's lots of sexual tension.I enjoyed the storyline, and Steven's friend Patty is a fun addition.While Devon Cream isn't a super-deep story, and I would have liked to have seen a bit of Devon's point of view, it's an enjoyable read.

When his faith is tested it takes Rynn's belief in Shas to bring him back into the fold of his god.When Rynn and Shas finally come together after fully acknowledging their love for one another, the explosion is cataclysmic for both of them. Jack is a shapeshifter Unicorn and Scott is a virgin and we all know what happens when a Unicorn meets a Virgin... well, actually I didn't know that all the sex was involved and now images of fairy virgin princess riding white unicorn stallion are playing in my mind...

Jack is a quite young shapeshifter Unicorn; in all his existence he has met only three pure souls (virgin in mind and body) able to caught him, and two of them were women during his student phase. The only real relationship he had was with a man, lasted five years. The trick to get free of the bond with the virgin is if the virgin loses its purity; but sex with Jack is not the way to lose purity, since all the virgin and the Unicorn makes together doesn't break the bond.

Since the last relationship broke pretty bad, now Jack is used to frequent Del Fantasma, a bar where is quite impossible to find a pure soul... that is till Scott enters the bar. I admit that the whole "gay for you" concept isn't really my favorite plot device, but I like Jet Mykles so I thought I'd give Just For You a try.After reading the book, I didn't regret giving it a shot at all.Just For You is packed with heat and humor, with a nice dash of emotion.I couldn't help but like dramatic, flamboyant Justin.He is up front about everything from the start, a trait I admired.Kevin, though surprised by his sudden attraction to another man, is able to deal with it surprisingly well.Watching him feel his way through his new world was funny at times, emotional at others.Even Victor, who came across as a bit of a spoiled villain at times, turns out to have hidden emotional depths that made me feel for him.Just For You isn't super deep or angsty, but it's a fun, hot read I enjoyed a lot.Jet Mykles fans, fans of "gay for you" stories, and anybody who likes fish-out-of-water humor will be sure to like Just For You.

Two Man Team by Jet Mykles
I really like Jet Mykles, I still remember when I bought Heaven, one of the first M/M romance I read, probably the first full gay erotica, how I was both shocked and enthralled; only for this reason I managed to go through the first chapter of this novel, and not since it's not a good romance, on the contrary it's a very good romance, but guys, this is for sure a bisexual novel. I read het romance trying to pass for gay romance, and gay romance going down the straight path, but I think I have never read a real bisexual romance till know. For me being bisexual means that you have really no issue at all on the gender of your partner, the most important thing is being good, with you and with your partner. So it's not the bisexual thing that let me perplexed at the beginning, but more all the sex with a woman between the two men; it was the ménages that was not really my cup of tea, and when the two men finally realized that they needed to understand the dynamics between them before trying to add a woman, that was the moment I started to really like the book. So, if you are like me, don't give up to this book, try to reach the middle, and I will assure you will find what you are searching.

Davey and Jason are two of the four men who had a fivesome with best girl friend and tomboy Jen; at the end of that book Jen choses Ken and Bart, Davey and Jason were left alone... or better on their own. Even if Jason is big and strong, he is of all of them the one who believes in romance, sex is not the most important thing, being in love is. Jason is not gay, but sincerely I had the feeling that he likes when women take the lead in the relationship, all the women in his life are independent and strong. When Davey suddenly starts to involve him in threesome with stranger women, I think Jason goes along more since he has not the strong hand to say no than for real interest. And then he is best friend with Davey and if Davey wants something, he is not able to say no.

From Davey's side, I had the strong feeling that he has something in mind, that it was not a sudden swing of mood that led him to involve Jason in his sex life. I was really expecting that Davey would sooner or later comes out (pun intended) with his version of the story, that he was in love with Jason and that he wanted him and only him. Both Davey and Jason are full fledged bisexual men; they don't suddenly turn gay, arriving to realize that they really don't like women; they like women, they like women a lot, and they also respect them, but it happened that the person they love is not a woman but a man. True, everything started from sex, and if sex was not good, maybe love would have not come around, but that is not the point.

There is also the strong concept of love and sex; it's not that to have sex you need to be in love with the other person, sex is something good and happy, and if you are comfortable with the other one, you can have it even without being in love; but if you are in love sex is better. So in the first part of the novel, Jason and Davey have sex with other women, and it's good, and no one is complaining; but when love comes between them, then trouble start, since they first need to find a balance to their new relationship, and then they can consider to continue as or even better than before.

In the end I will not say that this is a gay romance, not Davey or Jason are really gay, they are simply in love with another man.

Loved this book!
It's true, Davey has possibly got the most readable butt I've read this month. If you buy this gem for any reason, buy it for his butt alone. His behind was so well described and so well loved that even I was contemplating giving it a gold star. heh.

Two Man Team carries on from Jet's previous book One For The Team, set within a couple of months of a wedding and of Davey, Jason et al. getting it on. Davey makes a few gentle suggestions to Jason that maybe he'd like to get the band back together, with some chicks, and so they do. There is much surreptitious watching of each other and almost touching during their sexorin fest, and until finally they end up in the sack, just the two of them. Nice.

Normally the whole chick as an add on can kinda squick me, as it often feels like she's just the tag along. Unless the book is a purpose written menage. The way the author handled this was nicely done and even though they're not a huge focus, how they're dealt with was nicely written. I guess this was kinda important to me, that it fed and drove the plot rather than adding a random smex scene.

The chemistry between Davey and Jason was unspeakably hot and there are a couple of scenes that need some kind of achievement certificate or well done! Seriously, they were so filled with tension, angst and raw appeal I am quite sure my wee iphone won't ever be the same.

Jason's voice was easy to read and at times provided surprising and unexpected turns in character. I liked that I was not really sure what was going to happen next. Sci-Fi junkies don't miss this book! So much fun to read and shocking worldviews abound!
I watched all the new Battlestar Galactica stuff, Caprica, all the old Star Treks and Star Wars. I just finished this book and I love it, I'm telling all my geeky friends to get it. So, basically the United Nations becomes the world government after three major viruses kill tons of people. People turn to piracy and looting. Most of the developing world is in complete chaos. The USA closes it's borders and the narrator flees the surface to become a freight pilot. This book talks about a journey to Saturn's moon, Enceladus. But the coolest part is the world that is described. There are no villains, there are no space invaders or typical sci-fi stuff. It really just forecasts how bleak our future is. The pilot chooses space in an effort to run from the grim reality of surface life, but his problems snowball on him. I loved this book for it's vision of space travel and exploration as being something for all mankind to enjoy and share. This book has long passages describing how the ships fly, what they look like, how men have adapted to space, and the comic relief of the whole story is the narrator is a bootlegger!! He runs pure alcohol to all the outposts. He gets a job to fly a research team to the little iceball moon of Enceladus and the rest is for you to check out.
